Alordan will do the hunting trip with Maag first. He'd like to then jump into the kobold expedition with others.

Andronichishche

Andron will join the hunting group. That sea creature is still at large and they'll need a healer, just in case.

Andron's eyes widen in surprise as the chunk of rock hewn from Crestbrook's stony torso melds back into place, mended by the spell's magic. He frowns though, but only slightly, when he notices the other sundered pieces were unaffected. "Thank you, my friends. I am heartened it worked at all, especially on the piece carved from his chest, as it was not a clean break like the others. If it will work for the remainder, the whole process will require a few more days to complete."

He lets out a sigh, unaware himself of how tense he was in anticipation of this attempt. As he further relaxes, he produces two pearls from a belt pouch and the vial of magical pink powder from his pack. "Now then, let us see if this powder holds the key to his restoration."

Andronichishche holds the vial in one hand and in the other he slowly moves the pearls around the vial, chanting a repeating phrase of strange words, pausing occassionally at random points. Over the course of ten minutes, the pearls gradually change color, rotating through the colors in the rainbow until finally white again, but now glowing intensely white in the early light of day. He then touches the pearls to his forehead and they rapidly fade away into the ether as the raw data obtained from the spell is transferred to Andron's mind ...

2 x 50gp pearls consumed.

Lerrick

The cleric changes her mind. Sorry, Jaxsen. I think I'm going to go with Maag and company. He's always getting into trouble I think I should be there to mend his scrapes and bruises. She gives Jaxsen a warm smile before moving to meditate to her god.

Great description!

The mage of Rao concentrates intensely on the pink powder as the pearls are consumed, learning one distinct fact about how the item works. He is now certain that the dust must be combined and mixed well with fey tears in order to complete its magical powers, making it then usable to reverse the effects of petrification.

Andron drops to his knees once the spell runs its course, so fatigued that he is barely able to stand again.

Andronichishche

Andronichishche staggers to the side of the wooden stronghold and slides down against one wall to sit with his back supported. Beads of cold sweat drip from his pale brow. He closes his eyes and steadies his breathing. After a few moments he regains enough strength to speak. "Well, at the risk of sounding trite in a serious situation, I have both good news and bad news."

Andron holds up the vial of pink powder so that the early morning light reflects off the glass. "The powder does indeed possess the power to reverse the petrification." He thinks for a moment about the preponderance of P's in that last sentence, then shakes his head. "It must be thoroughly mixed with fey tears, though. The tiny box that contained the contacts was filled with a solution of fairy tears and mannish extract. It's not a pure sample of fey tears, but as I think it's extraordinarily unlikely we will find another source, it's our only option."

He gestures to the cleric of Pelor. "Miss Lerrick, please hand me the box." Andron attempts to determine if what little remains of the solution would be sufficient to mix with the powder. "Unfortunately, that is the extent of what I've learned. I will need to use your other pearl to attempt learning precisely how the final solution must be used on the statue."

Color begins to return to his ashen skin and his breathing continues to improve. "I should recover in about an hour. We can then proceed with Mr. Maag's bush hunt for jungle beavers."

Daisy

Daisy stops in front of Mason's tree. Mr. Mason! Ah'm Sister Daisy- as ya'll prob'ly know. Ah'll be going to talk with the Stoneguts dwarves tomorrow, with the intent of tryin' to make some kinda lasting peace with 'em- maybe even digging the doorway for an alliance. Ah know they've been... nasty, at best. Ah'm hoping we can fix that.
Ah was told you do some fine woodcarving- Nalissa sent me- Ah was hoping ya'll might have a nice piece that Ah could give them. Ah'll pay ya'll for it, of course.

An elderly human with white curly hair and a dark complexion steps out from his tree-shack. His smile is wide, but his teeth are horrible.

"Ello Miss Daisy. Mayor.....Daisy. You come to the right place if yer lookin for carvings. I mostly elp out with the cookin and smokin, but I also like to do a little carvin on the side."

He motions for the halfling to enter the opening into his tree where several beautiful wooden hand carved works of art hang here and there on the thatch walls.

"Did ya have any specific idea in mind?"

Daisy
Thank you, Mason. Ah don't have anything in particular in mind. Ah don't know Dwarves that well, but Ah've heard they appreciate fine detail and craftsmanship. Have you got a piece you're particularly proud of? One that ya'll would like to be considered as representin' the town?
For her part, Daisy will gravitate toward something with plenty of geometic elements- intricate Celtic knots and so forth.

Mason shows Daisy a piece that he thinks will suit her needs perfectly.

The carving is comprised of three different faces lined up in a row. The first face is the morning sun, bright, happy and smiling. The third face is a more somber looking man in the moon, with a distinct seriousness to its expression. The central face is a combination of the two, with a stony looking appearance to its features.

"Ya think the dwarves would like such a piece as this? The stone face represents the solid oerth. Ya think they would get that?"

Daisy
Ah don't really know Dwarves well enough to say- but Ah think it's an excellent piece of work, and Ah'll be proud to present it. How much do Ah owe you for this?
Daisy pays the asking price without dickering.

Daisy
Morgan, honey- this would be a bargain at twice that. When Ah've dealt with some of the bigger emergencies 'round here, Ah'll be back- there's plenty of your work Ah'd be glad to have in mah house.

Daisy stores the carving with her personal gear. She makes a round of the town, looking for volunteers to go to the Dwarf mining camp. She wants 5, plus herself and The Princess. While she's doing this, she stops in to visit Glisandi, to check on his progress.

"Yes Daisy! I agree wit ya. But nobody here has the money to buy carvings, so I keeps my prices low."

The carving cook looks thrilled by the promise of selling more at another time.

Jaxsen Reiter

Jaxsen, accompanied by Liam and Farmer Joe, approach Daisy. "Mayor," Jax says with a bow. "We have heard that you were planning to make a trip to visit the Dwarves of the Stoneguts Clan. The three of us are planning to make a trip to visit the Native village further up the trail from there." He indicates Liam and Joe with a gesture. "We would be honored to accompany you and, in turn, you could introduce yourself to the Natives. We have decided to find out what they grow for food. Since the crops that were brought from the mainland have had such a difficult time, we want to find out what the Natives and the Phanaton are growing, or at least harvesting, and plant those items instead."

Liam

He allows Jaxsen to take the reigns on this one, happy to be second banana for a while.  He stands back to let he and Daisy speak and see what comes of it.  He also makes a mental note of asking Caleb if he would like to come along to see what the natives are growing and how, along with asking if there is anyone in particular he would recommend watching his animals while he was gone in trade for the eggs and milk from the animals.  OM, if possible, can we have this as a side thing either off camera or in the private forum for expediency?

Daisy
Daisy turns bright red. Arvoreen bless ya'll! When it really gets down to it, Ah'm just a soldier and a medic- Ah would never have thought of this! She smiles and hugs each of the men in turn, climbing Liam like a ladder to hug him around the neck rather than the knees.
We'll be glad of the company. Ah din't remember that there's an easy, direct route from one group to the other. Can ya'll be ready to move out tomorrow morning?

When the details are hammered out, Daisy will hustle around town to make sure everyone involved is on the same page

I will create a thread for this mission once we get conformation form all participants.

If it helps......there is a group of four that will be returning to town soon, depending on wandering monster rolls.

I have heard a few different ideas as to what you will do first, so a solid game plan layout will help me get things started too.

Thanks!

Jaxsen is definitely in. And contingent on Daisy and Liam, I think the plan is to escort Daisy on a visit to the Stoneguts, and follow her lead there. After that, a trip to the Natives' village and try to discover what they grow or gather as far as local food plants, and whatever negotiating Daisy wishes to conduct there as well.
