I'm ok with returning to civilization so folks can level up.

If we can accelerate it so it doesn't take much time in real life, all the better.

Well, Lanny is definitely forceful with his opinions! He's something of a military-minded elf, so it fits his personality. But by all means, please do push back if your charachters disagree with anything he says/suggests. I have actually always preferred games that do not use an official party leader/spokesman, but rather rely on continually forming a consensus among the party members. Sure, it's not as efficient and it takes a little longer, but I think it's a lot more fun and it keeps every charachter more actively involved in the game. And besides, a little intra-party rivalry never hurt anyone. ;)

Well, I wanted to play Saul as a bit hot-headed so it's all going as planned but I don't want people to get the idea I'm forcing anything. If I feel strongly about any course of action I'll just post that OOC so we can keep things separate.

I really enjoy Lanny and Saul's relationship, I think we're playing them off each other in an interesting way as they get along well even tough they are as different as they are.

And welcome to our newest part member!

EDIT: Accidentally the whole English language back there.

And I have to say, it makes my job much easier when players expound their opinions forcefully and clearly. Thanks, guys.

Guys, we've got a new PC. The player is Innana, who hopefully should be along shortly. Innana, don't forget to subscribe to the current IC and OOC threads to remain up to date on new posts.
Innana's character is at full hp, despite appearances.

Lanny spots the woman in plate mail pinned under the wheel.

Woah. A real live female? No way, I don't believe it.
Haha, just kidding. Welcome aboard, Innana. ;)

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I did not think you guys would ever finish with that tower, and head back to town to get me. I am excited to adventure with you all. And Frobozz, yes, I am a real girl!

This will be a lot of fun.

Ha, I can see you reading the whole thing with us going back and forth all over the place and you're like: "Move it, my character is trapped under a friggin' wheel while you guys go on and on and I want to play!"

Just noticed, Saul lost his partner in scouting before we got to the tower and as soon as we get back down we get a new party member, pretty neat.

Just a quick question: Is Innana a lvl 1 character that will level up when we do to reach our average level or will she lag for a bit?

Doesn't really matter one way or another and both options are interesting, just curious.

You know, this raises an interesting question. Innana will not be getting any monster XP, as she was not present upon fighting said beasts. However, she will be with your group upon returning to civilization, so should be entitled to a full share of the diamonds you guys found (at least in terms of XP, if not actual money). I will, however, let you guys make this call.

If it were me I would give her the full share of both (especially the XP, 'cause the sooner she can level the better).

Just like when we first welcomed Lanny into the group, Bregalad has no problems with us giving Innana a full share of the experience and treasure.

Uh, so I guess I've got a map to draw for you guys, if there's any interest in this hook. The items I rolled are a wand, a staff and a sword. The sword's name is , let's see, Usudostrica.

Hey zeb, have you forgotten about the wand you guys got from the goblins?

Thank you Zeb, if it alright to call you that. Thank you to the rest of you as well for the welcomes. I do appreciate the warm welcomes.

I would like to play the map hook, but I will go with what the others would like to do.

Naturally, I agree! :)

But I also wonder, will all new PCs always start at Level 1, regardless of overall party level?

Saul and I have no problem with splitting XP and treasure. Well, Saul has some issues with the treasure but he's looking forward to what Innara's map has to offer
