Sam steps in some chewing gum - how did that get here, he wonders. He picks at it and gets his left hand all sticky with the residue. Jamie comes over about the time Sam realizes how much gum is on his fingers as he is staring intently, pinching and un-pinching, at the long pink-blue threads stretching between the fingers.

...Do we take the others? Jason, this is your call, since you know Jack. I know firsthand that not all ghosts are harmful, so I'm fine with leaving them alone if they aren't going to be a threat. If that changes, however, I will not hesitate to light them up.
Yeah Jack is fine, hes a class four but seems to be a benevolent spirit keeping the dead and dying company at the hospital. I don't think hes a concern, and probably will be waaay away from the fireworks. Speaking of,Jason starts shining a light on the walls looking for utility lines, We do not wanna go proton slinging down here if there's natural gas or anything else, explody.

Joker
Joker glances around. I do not think this is part of the sewer system- it looks much older. Were there some sort of... river pirates here long ago? Or perhaps smugglers?

He watches the readings, watching how 'Jack' uses hit and run tactics to keep The Big Bad busy. Jason, if your friend Jack likes cigar smoke, I will make time to meet him, just so he can enjoy mine. He is earning my respect quickly. He's bull-dancing with the other entity like a Gypsy.

Spelunking with Sam... Wise?
The underground tunnels: Downtown.
Investigating the Hospital Tunnel
August 26, 2018, 10:30 am.
Storming outside, cool, dank & dark.

As the team finally assembled and seems ready along with their spitfire reporter friend along for the ride, it is simply a matter of taking quick stock of what everyone has equipment wise before heading down the tunnel.

Okay, you are all set to go. Tell me what everyone is carrying and I will move this forward along the tunnel.

I specifically gave that burnout instructions to get clear and be careful guess hes trying to be a hero. Jason chuckles and checks the priming mechanism on the blower, Appreciate that too, when we had out little chat he was really enthusiastic for booze and drugs, figured maybe the cigar could help him keep his hold for a minute, Jason looks up and down the walls, luckily the slime blower has the lovely integrated shoulder lights. I dont know about pirates, these look like the codes hobos use, but not exactly those either...If I run into a cult or sewer dwelling rat people on our day off I will be unhappy. he chuckles to himself Ratmen in the sewers, its more common that you would think.

Sam has a proton pack strapped to his back, a sticky left hand that is covered in chewing gum, an empty bag that used to have garbage in it stuffed in a pocket, a pair of reading glasses in a shirt pocket, a notebook, and a pen.

Sam is wondering when his next meal is going to be because at this point he has been in the tunnels a while. His tummy rumbles audibly.

Lionel "Freight Train" Williams

Grinning as he looks at Jamie, he asks her, Ready to go bust a ghost? He hooks the trap on his belt and readies the proton pack while he waits for those in front to move out.

Joker
The gear listing is good.

Joker moves with the others. His primary focus is still the PKE and what the Class 4's are doing, so if there's a question of march order, he'll be in the middle someplace.

As the team makes their way down the long corridor the PKE steadily gets clearer and clearer readings. The weaker of the 3 ghost is slowly gaining some strength back and is staying well away from the strongest. Jack seems to have drawn back a considerable distance for now. You all stand before a large brick wall. The brickwork certainly seems professionally done and very old, but not as old as the tunnels. There is a big H stenciled onto the wall.
It appears to have been slightly damaged from the other side and in pushing in your way a little.

You will also note that there are no other access points between here and where you came in. You can no longer hear the storm outside.

Lionel "Freight Train" Williams

I don't suppose anyone has a sledgehammer, do they? Looking around at the rest of the group, Lionel answers his own question. I guess that would be me, then. Placing his hands on the wall to get a feel for how the wall is bulging and where the weakest point might be, Lionel will then put his shoulder into the wall, trying to force it back and loosen up the mortar some more.

well that took care of it!

Mac's considerable talent for destruction becomes apparent as he leans in his bulk to Lionel's sheer athleticism and the old bricks push back in place... then in a bit... and after another half second there is a cracking sound and the whole section collapses into a big void of darkness before you.

After the dust settles, and you shine your lights inside, you realize you have broken through to a basement area of some kind. The dust is thick here like it has not been touched for some time. The PKE's indicator lights raise a bit more. You all get the eerie feeling down your spine that something is now waiting for you in that dark void.

All readings are clearer now. If that is Jack, he seems to be recovering.

Joker looks into the basement area, unsure of what to expect.

Sam Strickland

As the dust of the crumbled brick wall settles Sam is going to walk silently to the opening, make sure his flashlight is on, and step through the opening. Once on the other side he will step to one side to clear room for the others to follow and shine the light around revealing as much of the space as he can.
