Chapter One - Into the Shadows

Sade will lead the way in.

"Do you wish to break into groups to search faster?" Awwrak asks Sade, acknowledging Sade's role as leader.

"I think that is a bad idea, we should keep together for now."

[Marullus]

Awwrak chirps once, then prepares to follow. His anxiety mirrors Lothien's as the prepare to descend into the enclosed underground crypts.

He whispers to his holy symbol which glows a bit brighter. He checks with the others and enchants objects as needed to make sure everyone who needs light below has it. (Anyone who wants a Light Cantrip for an hour, specify what you want it cast on and assume it is done.)

I think you can only have 1 going at a time.

[Marullus]

The spell ends if you cast it again or dismiss it as an action.

Lothien has darkvision and a shield on one arm, so he'll keep the other arm free and not carry a torch.
Darkvision: You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in Darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in Darkness, only Shades of Gray.

A blue haze fills this chamber, making it impossible to see more than a few feet in any direction. The haze smells
of strange spice, smoke, and dank copper.
Awwrak points out the doors and the body still lying on the floor several feet in from the base of the stairs.

Awwrak points to the west side. "That door is encorcelled." He then points across at the south side. "That's where we found the further hallways with many more doors. We didn't look further that way," he nods to the eastern side.

[Rex]

Sade

Sade will search the room.

Rodrigo lights a torch and follows his companions. He makes a face and waves the smokey haze away. "I do not like this smell."

Does it emanate from a particular source or is it just everpresent?

The chipped sculpture framing the door leading to room on the left wall is a foreshortened dragon' s head.
The two hollow nostrils visibly spew the blue mist that curtails vision in this chamber.

Sade will search the room.

As Sade searches the room, she almost stumbles over a body on he floor.

Will look from the body to the dragon sculpture spewing the smoke. Does it look like he can take clothing from the body to stuff into the dragon's nostrils to stop them up?

"It is the spider being slain by the holy flame that I summoned. It was invisible," Awwrak replies to Sade.

"A dragon's head. So the dragons may be connected to this foulness. Of course."
"I don't know if we should breathe in this haze for long."

It looks like the creature died from blunt trauma.
It's face is human , although it has multifaceted eyes and mandibles protruding from it's mouth. Long, stringy black hair falls in a tangle from its skulls and grows down its backs like the mane of a horse.
