After some more searching he finds a small snippet regarding a manuscript allegedly from the House of Wisdom that was believed to be an account just what he was looking for.

Just let me know if I need to edit or anything I just trying to keep adding flavor but don't wanna step on any toes. If there no issues he will continue:
Jason types up a quick email to the historian mentioned in the article as studying the manuscript inquiring to see if this could be a valid lead.
Nah, I like it! You are good. I just need to know what you are looking for.

Professor Burkley emails Jason back. Hello Jason, This is Dr. Calvin Burkley, Professor of History
UAFS.
Oh, I remember writing that now. I hope you are all doing well. I have some interesting ideas I am working on about this sort of thing in a broad sense. Come see me sometime, and update me about this church business with that old Rood.

Roy adds the results from his research to the whiteboard as well as the results of the readings at the old historic site/courthouse.

Joker
Joker is in his element, printing data headings and details on whiteboards, annotating various potential connections with different-colored markers, grinning like a loon. He seems totally lost in his work until Jason mentions 'Pizza'. His stomach growls loudly.

Jason hears his phone chime while looking into the oven, "Oh nice" he thinks to himself.

Thank you for your prompt response,

I was interested in the piece you wrote about specifically for communing with spirits or the dead, I am sure this sounds odd to you but I am trying to build as much reference material as I can. I was wondering if you had a dissertation or in depth analysis regarding the process. The only information I have been able to glean that isnt chicanery or a humbug has dealt with intent and willpower, I was hoping with your help I could expand on this or at least get another confirmation.

Thank you for your time,
Dr. Jason O'Roarke, Old Fort Ghostbusters.

With a few more minutes left before cheesey goodness he opens another beer and sends a text to Gabby.

Lionel "Freight Train" Williams

Lionel is half-heartedly shuffling through papers, trying to look like he is accomplishing something, when Sam walks in. Hey, good to meet you. I'm- Kitty! Lionel gets up and takes the carrier from Sam, setting it on the table and taking him out of the carrier. Who's a good...boy? Girl? What's its name?
On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Sam is going to bring his coffee and Hrothgar back to that same room and let out Hrothgar again. Oh, there's my satchel!

Hi everyone! Nice to finally meet you face to face. Sam is going to go around in turn shaking hands and saying hello, putting his other hand in a folksy manner on each person's shoulder. Hrothgar is going to roam around looking for any papers that may be on the floor to sit down on. ...and that over there is Hrothgar!
Thank you for your help with the carrier! Hrothgar must be around here somewhere, I just let him out - he found a couple of spots in here he liked earlier. Any loose stacks of paper, food wrappers, anything on a floor or table that wasn't there before he'll be sitting on it. Oh, there he is... Sam kneels beckoning the big cat to him before hoisting the creature into Lionel's arms. We'll just have to see how he takes to this - he doesn't always like to be held.

Hello Jason, This is Dr. Calvin Burkley, Professor of History

This sounds outstanding! As you can understand, I don't want to discuss too much of this kind of thing over the internets. The Russians could be listening. We should have a meeting and discuss this sort of thing in private. Let me know a good time and we can set up a time and place. If you like, I can come to your place of business and compare notes and give you one or two of my own theories on the matter. (Haha)

Joker
Joker sees Hrothgar, and pales just a fraction. He runs his left forearm as he speaks. That is a very large cat. Is he ever aggressive? No offense to you, Sam- I do not like cats. I will try to be places where he is not.

Sam looks up from his phone, Well...not usually no. His belly is full and he is on pain medication right now. He shouldn't cause you any trouble!

Sam ponders a moment more.

If he is sitting by a doorway though - you may want to find another exit.

There is a local rose club that meats on the first Monday of the month for breakfast and meeting at a local diner.

One thing Sam, as well as everyone else, would have realized by now... Fort Smith has no shortages of two things. Places of worship and places to eat!

Hot but Breezy

So as the time nears 5pm this is what is on the docket:
They guys have compiled their data from the Cemetery
Also on the Historic Site.
There is also your work on Kindle laid out before you.
You have been able to find that the group of headstones with the Latin phrase: An Veritas An Nihil belongs to a long time family of accused witches with some oddly shady background concerning sudden unexplained deaths and criminal records.
There are samples taken by Joker from the two Harris graves of Black Ecto-plasm.
-No other information on this yet.
There is a News Program by Jamie Roth coming on in a bit that is about the Team and the work they have done so far.
Bur Westmolen will be covering the news about the City Councilman Bill Maily who Mac should have a curious familiarity when he hears that name.
Jason with the info that Sam found on Jack Belt makes the connection that it was none other than his Spectral acquaintance from the hospital Jack Feelgood.
Lionel found a tip about a local legend called Tow Truck Joe on an old bridge on and old highway.
And Jason is ready to see his sweetheart, Gabby.

Lionel "Freight Train" Williams

Lionel grabs the nearest sheet of paper and wads it into a ball, tossing it near Hrothgar. Who's a good kitty? he asks the cat, getting down on the floor to play with him.

Hrothgar

Hrothgar's left eye opens slowly...menacingly...

The ball of paper skitters across the floor in front of him and his eyes dilate until they are big black circles ringed with a sliver of yellow. He is a cat transformed - bounding after the paper. He swats it hard with his massive right paw and it shoots under the conference table. He is after it immediately. Hrothgar gets the paper in his mouth and then drops it in front of him, centered between his paws. Then he is on it again, rolling with it, holding it in front paws and kicking into it with back paws. Some shreds of the paper flip around the room as the cat makes a mockery of this hapless foe. The commotion is noisy. The commotion is entertaining.

Sam picks up the tattered scrap, Hey, this says Pay to the order of: Dzj....

Upson reading the text Jason feels more somber,
Oh I am so sorry, we need to have a meeting but I will meet you afterwards. If I can do anything else please let me know.

Jason turns off the oven and goes looking for the others, finding Sam, Hrothgar and Lionel first. I have a couple of leads lined up, but we should touch base with the whole team and make sure we get on solid footing for what we have coming up. Im gonna go look for the others but I feel like this game is just getting started.

Joker
Joker pointedly ignores Hrothgar and his antics, turning back to the whiteboards.

Soon enough, he stops what he's doing and begins digging online. He's trying to trace Mary Duncan (missing and presumed dead 1908). It's a longshot, but she's a loose thread... and Joker HATES loose threads.

He's using national databases, looking for a notable lady who turned up at about the time Mary vanished- somewhere else in the country. Notable being defined as wealthy, mysterious, rumored to be Gifted, influential, or any combination of these.
