Joker
Joker stops and retraces his steps, returning to the other hotspots he's found. Do they also include the same latin phrase?
Joker does a quick Google search to get a translation of the phrase. [5d6] = 14 ghost [1d6] = 5

Only these. No other stones in the rest of the cemetery seem to have it. They are all more or less in the same area; often sharing a plot area.Urson wrote:Joker

He shifts to drafting a group text to introduce himself to other members of the staff and accidentally sends them a link to the article with no message attached.

Re: The Oak Cemetery Investigation
Joker
Joker raises his eyebrows in curiosity, and double- checks to make sure he has all the names of the deceased under these stones.
Do I understand that these are the only stones in the Cemetery with this incription? That there aren't any non-reacting graves with the same phrase?
More research...
When the random article shows up in his texts, Joker shrugs it off. With all the trouble his search engine has been giving him, somehow it doesn't surprise.

Re: The Oak Cemetery Investigation
This is correct. These stones appear to be the only ones with that particular phrase written on them. They all share something else you notice. A similar frequency, other than the one beside them for Mary A. Duncan which is the only one with zero signal in the group of otherwise active gravesites. The only thing it shares is the inscription and the fact it shares the immediate area around the others.Urson wrote:Joker

Joker frowns as the puzzles multiply, but takes careful readings and notes for Mary Duncan's grave also.

Re: The Oak Cemetery Investigation
Putting your heads together you realize that of all the gravestones with the inscription, Mary Duncan's is not only the only one not giving off a reading, but it is also the only one that specifically says: In Memory of... which typically means there are no remains actually buried here.

Red joins the rest of the crew and shows his findings as well.
He was just following along, make notes of names and readings

Joker
Joker nods, filing this in his mental list of "Stuff about America".
I can't be certain, but my first thought is that these people have a thing on common- death location, bloodline, cause... perhaps something that 'contaminated' their bodies before they were buried.

Joker
Joker sees the 'ping' that shows Sam at the Library. I like him already. He likes books.
Looking at the others, Our FNG is at the Library. Maybe we should join him- since I need to look into these names already
Something about his tone suggests Joker doesn't really know what FNG means.
