Once the coins are collected and the boat is filled, Pete starts rowing for the island. “Same place on the beach there, folks?”

After Andronichishche is told of the occurrences he missed, as expected, he fills in a lot of the blanks for the others, going so far as to pinpoint the exact location he thinks the treasure note calls for. Nobody says a word about that information, but more opinions are shared concerning the potion, the box, a severed head, visions, the destroyed amulet, Brutus, Marquees, Melania, and even Cora’s holy symbol. (that was eventually given to their stoned paladin)

One More Excursion

Joe has Pete row towards the northern end of the smaller island where he saw the lone cask the day before. As the small boat nears, several casks can be seen laying on the ground near the rocky, vegetation covered shoreline.

Not wanting to get too close unless someone plans on jumping out, Pete stops rowing all together once they can see the wooden casks better. The similar looking containers seem old and are clearly well used. Oddly, for some reason each one of these casks appears to have been cut directly in half the long way. Along with the one that was left behind, you count 7 of the halved casks in total.

"I thought so!" Maag exclaims. "Dat's 'ow dey got over 'ere. Dey used der casks as little boats."

Andronichishche scans the shoreline near the grounded casks for any obvious movements before focusing his gaze on the makeshift boats. "Indeed, Mr. Maag. My thoughts exactly. I had also been wondering where the four petrified kobold in the altar room originated. Obviously they're not strangers to the island. What would make them want to come back here with the threat of Marquees and the minotaur? It must be something they value greatly to risk the danger."

He motions to Pete and points to the casks and then southwest towards Cat Turd Beach. "Mr. Pete, please row us a bit nearer for a brief look, then proceed directly to the beach." He also takes a gold coin from his belt pouch and hands it to Pete. "Quickly, please." Andron turns back to address the group.

"Four kobold were encountered yesterday and one was killed. One cask was left behind. That suggests three had escaped the island and at least seven returned."

"Why would they enter the stone circle if they knew the minotaur was nearby? Unless something happened and it's no longer being summoned? In any case, they definitely know the maedar is dead and may decide to explore the cave again. Let's complete our mission and find the medusa's treasure before more arrive."

"Oh, I had forgotten to ask. Did we give Sister Theresa a proper burial?"

"A bit closer would be good." She keeps an eye out for the kobolds hiding close by.

There are no casks adrift. They are all on shore. Just out of 10’ pole range.

This area is actually the direction the kobolds ran when they escaped yesterday, despite what I may have written earlier.

Ah, okay. I'll edit my post, but I'm still a bit confused. Where is the cask that was left behind?

There was one left behind, presumably by the kobolds, that Joe noticed yesterday. It is still there, but now there are six more of them. They are all in the same area.

Sorry, I seem to be having trouble making myself clear lately.
