Session 0: Character Creation

I think it's a great idea for the new players to start with Common Sense and some dots on Mentor. Just to balance things out a bit more, I'd also let them pick any 1 point Social merit (except for Natural Leader, which is more Mental) for free. World of Darkness games are never perfectly balance, nor do they need to be, but an extra Social merit would be a nice bonus for the new players and hopefully something fun to roleplay.

Will you be setting up private forums for the players? Or should I PM you my work-in-progress character sheet and questions?

Agreed, i was thinking they needed just something a little more. 1 point social merit sounds like a nice touch.

And nice. I'm at work so I can't read the flaw, but if it's what I think it is that can be fun. As a venture you were likely told how your blood is meant to rule and that you belong to a family who's rightful place is at the top. Probably didn't help with the inflated ego lol

I've finally gotten J.P.'s backstory up I hope it's not too rambly, I ended up tinkering with my sheet again taking 2 in resources and picking up common sense. Should I put the Merit and Flaw descriptions somewhere on the sheet?

You'll be getting common sense free, so don't worry about taking it. And you can if you want, I personal put page numbers next to them.

Hello Everyone,

Sorry for how late I was to this, the last few weeks have been super rough with work.

I created Dr. Narissa Alexandria, Anthropologist. I might make a few tweaks, but it's mostly figured out. Might need to talk to SeaSaltSong more about it, but I think I have a decent understanding of the rules now that I've read a lot of the book.

I'll likely reorganize the notes sections tonight to make it more clear and in better categories.

Perfectly understandable with what's going on right now.

SeaSaltSong didn't charge my character for French, so you'll probably get a point back for that. I highly, highly recommend you put it into Willpower. And shift even more into Willpower if you can. That's a super important stat for casting your blood magic spells.

Also, Phobia (Snakes) is going to be awesome. Awesome.

Ooh, very cool to see a character who is an anthropologist. I'm an anthropologist/folklorist (in training) in real life - I'm not a forensic anthropologist (I do folklore, cultural, and linguistic anthropology) like Dr. Alexandria, but cool nonetheless.
