The cleric shoots Tlachtga a look and nods her head in approval. I think the chance for the Medusa to rise again ended when Gramble smashed the Amulet. However, if the majority of the party want to go back in order to rest and gain full strength before returning, I am up for that option.Rex wrote:Tlachtga

lets just go finish this bitch once and for all.
Gramble hands a flask of oil to maag and hefts Labrys.
we search her, chop the head off, then light her up.

Lerrick nods her head in approval and smiles at Gramble's suggestion. She carefully puts the glass tube and container of liquid into a pouch and then looks to the rest of the party. I'll hold a lit torch to provide the light for Gramble and anyone else who wants to carve up the medusa.

Revelations
Freeday, 19th of Goodmonth
Late Morning, Dank, Damp, Depressing
Suddenly leaving the cluttered chamber altogether, Maag tells Lerrick that the tiny box was already checked and subsequently cleared by him as perfectly safe to open. So.....she stores both of the items carefully away in her pouch. Some folks seem ready to leave, while others still want to chop up and burn the dead medusa.
Alordan looks around for a pail and finds a large iron dipper on a hook above the well. Mina nods as he investigates the direction of the tube that does indeed head off in the direction of Cora's chamber and water basin.
Gramble and Maag discuss the probabilities of the dead woman holding some kind of wedding ring, proceeding by chopping off her head and slashing her body up into small pieces so they can find it. Her severed hands and neck reveal no jewelry, however, whacking her body into pieces does reveal something new. Under her torso, also laid reverently upon the exact center of the stone slab, lies a bright shiny flattened ring of copper. The ring is about the size of a standard dinner plate, with nothing in its center, of course. There are etchings of some kind in the thin copper that appear to be a man and a woman's outstretched arms, holding hands to complete the circle. The etchings look expertly carved and the copper clearly holds some monetary value, if nothing else.
The hunks of dead medusa do not rise to kill anyone, as some of the group expected.
Saracen replies to the notions of leaving to get rested up. "Like I already told you, if we leave this place again, I wont be returning."

Lerrick
Nicely done everyone! The cleric tries hard hold her excitement, but fails.
While the others are discussing how to find the hidden treasure the cleric turns her attention to the petrified paladin. She takes back out the glass vial and the tiny box and walks over to the petrified paladin in the other room (assuming that there is still light in the other room). If so, she kneels down by the paladin and places the tiny box down. on her lap, then opens the lid to the box. Once done she sets the box on the ground, then lifts the glass tube and removes the rubber top. she then pours the liquid from the tiny box into the test tube and gently moves her hand to stir the powder with the liquid. Once satisfied she stops for a moment and takes a deep breath and exhales. Here we go Cresty. I hope this works. She takes the tube and pours the liquid-powder combination until the open mouth of the petrified paladin.

Carucenus keeps standing guard, walking here and there within the room, taking a look at the corridors.

Alordan will scoop up some water for a drink. Keeping an eye on the shaft. Fresh water is an awfully nice feature for this place. Would help folks to live here comfortably if this was a spring.

Revelations
Freeday, 19th of Goodmonth
Late Morning, Dank, Damp, Depressing
Alordan tests the water in the well himself, finding it fresh and cool to the taste. Maag picks up the large, dinner plate sized flat copper ring without any ill effect.
Lerrick has an idea. She has a seat on the stoned Cresty's chest and inspects the tiny box. Lifting the small clasp on its front releases the locking mechanism, allowing her to open it. A sloppy suction sound is heard as she tips the lid backwards finding a rubber-like seal around the entire rim of the container. The box is half filled with a clear liquid that appears to be water, though it gives off a distinct salty scent. As she is about to pour the contents into the glass tube with the pink powder, the cleric notices something odd inside the box. There is a pair of identical fingertip sized depressions in the bottom of the box. The two equally spaced and perfectly symmetrical depressions appear to be empty, though they clearly served some kind of purpose at one time.
Just wanted to stop there in case anyone wants to make a suggestion before the next step in the mixing process takes place.

Alordan asks from by the well, "would those glowy stones fit in those depressions? Would we care if they did? Is there any secret compartments in the bottom of that box maybe?"

Maag edges about twenty feet away from Lerrick before she mixes the powder and water.
