The statue has not been maintained, but is not damaged, though slightly photolucent linchens grow on part of it. It is St. Analuska as you get closer, and there is still a small alcove for offerings, though there is no offerings present.

The dwarf looks , and finds a broken steel glove near the east doorway, with dried blood caked on the shattered gauntlet.

Upon seeing the glove the halfling comments: "We better be on our guards if we're heading that way."

"We all follow the dwarf," states Ceric, states, nodding to Felgorian. "The hand points this way," indicating the east doorway, "so we go this way."

"Lead on." he says, indicating his readiness.

The Passage is 10 foot wide and 30 feet long (or thereabouts) when it expands to a 50x20 foot room. (40 foot being North South) There a pile of wood (Looks to be a broken table and chairs which have started to rot. and doors to the East and to the North. You see a bloody handprint on the North Door.

Beya follows her fellow adventurers; keeping as alert an eye and ear out as possible. Upon entering the room and seeing the bloody handprint on the door; she immediately looks all around the room and up towards the roof; looking for any signs of danger*....

(*Assuming she doesn't see/hear any signs of danger)

She will then go to the door to see if she can tell if the handprint is relatively fresh or an old stain....

Brother Meldred nods in agreement Let's just hope whatever caused the owner of the hand print to bleed is no longer around.

The roof is free of any dangers that you can tell. The hand mark is blood, it about 24-72 hours old is your guess.

The door appears to be jammed.

"Unless one of you... resourceful types," Ceric starts, "would like a chance to examine this-" he says of the jammed door, "I suggest you stand back." he finishes.

Unless a thief wants to inspect the door first, Ceric will sheath his sword and prepare to force the door open (+3 physical tasks).

Dave, We have to actually tell the thief to do such things. The only one in the party is NPCd...

Felgorian nods. Yes, I think our friend here should practice his fine skills on the door. No need losing blood if it is trapped. He looks over at Husker.

Maybe I should have known that? I saw the same thief listed twice in the Character Sheet thread and figured someone was controlling it -- I didn't realize it was the DM doing it.

"Agreed." Ceric states, stepping back a step or two in order to allow the thief some room to perform his duties. He keeps his sword in hand, ready to act.

The Thief checks the door and finds no traps.

(BTW, since there is confusion on who playing what. do you want me to "clean out" the players Character list?
