No, there really is (was) a Canadian band called Trooper. They're like an odd blend of Blue Öyster Cult, Jimmy Buffett, and the Dead. Kind of.

Yup, I saw them in a bar in Montreal. They still play them on the radio around here. One advantage to living a 15 minute walk from the Canadian border.

Now I want to check this band out! Please be more specific, as Spotify has 6 'Trooper' bands, and several 'Troopers'. :D Maybe a song or album title?
