Hi, I am sort of back. I wasn't feeling well (mentally) and had to take a break. I will be picking up with the campaign after I get back from DunDraCon this weekend.
Go ahead and play Brother Gilbert as an NPC until after the 18th of February.

Oh, thanks, thanks. It's good to be here. Look, I already have three PCs and a zombie. Well, actually, two PCs, a zombie and one on the way of becoming oneOGRE MAGE wrote:Welcome to the game, Karaunios!

Re: B S (VI)
Honestly. I'm laughing my ass off. I rolled a new character and I think I just posted three or four actions with him (mostly conversation) and he just died.
I love it.

I love it.

Re: B S (VI)
The table-top group i play with uses 2nd ed. I find the PHB to be well organized (except for the tables: they are always miles away from the things they refer to
) but just lacking the ...charisma...of the 1st ed books.
I just recently noticed these two gems: the encumbrance tables at the back of the DMG include grappeling hooks. But the equipment tables don't. So you can't buy one, but you know how heavy it is.
Last night I was flicking through the Monster Manual index. Under H it lists "Hamadryad: see Dryad". I've never ever heard of a hamadryad. So I eagerly flipped to Dryad...to find absolutely not a word about hamadryads....
Never change baby, never change.

I believe the term you're looking for is "High Gygaxian".Jernau35 wrote:"the ...charisma...of the 1st ed books."

Re: B S (VI)
THATs the truth for sure. But I do like the term “charisma” of 1st edition, for it describes the feel of the edition perfectlyQuonundrum wrote:I believe the term you're looking for is "High Gygaxian".Jernau35 wrote:"the ...charisma...of the 1st ed books."

Before posting for Chauncey, just confirming that Zombiecar made his “save” to avoid following Gormavaala’s order?

Re: B S (VI)
Correct!
BH rolled for that in his private thread for some reason, but Mono doesnt appear to understand why Gorman is commanding him while hanging around with the people he was told to kill. So, ya, that didn't work.
