I was never a fan of Dallas.

I’d like to try to save David’s body if possible. The sedation idea may work considering we are in a hospital. Finding and administering the drugs would be tricky. We would definitely run the risk of overdose.

I don't suppose there is any chloroform or any drugs or anything in the room...?

Re: Howie's Speakeasy - "Come on in"
Didn't think so.
So, other than murder, any suggestions for what to do with David/Aseneth? Reginald needs to act before the nurse gets back, or else risk that the cultist switches minds with her.
I don't see how Reginald can subdue David/Aseneth on his own without some type of sedative, and there doesn't seem to be any of those around. He can try to find a supply closet or something, but there are at least two problems with that. First, the nurse might return before he finds what he needs, and second, he doesn't know what to look for anyways.....

I can say, as Reginald can plainly see, that David is heavily injured from the fight and gun shot and likely very weak. Whether his collapse in the hallwy earlier was feigned or not, Reginald isn't sure.SocraticLawyer wrote:Didn't think so.

Ok then.
I don't see any otherer alternative. Reginald is going to (attempt to) kill the cultist. I'll post IC later tonight or tomorrow.

Re: Howie's Speakeasy - "Come on in"
Forgot to include in the IC post.... Reginald should make a San check for the murder. Something like that can unhinge a man and haunt him to varying degrees. If you make it, lose only 1, if not, 1d4+1.
Well dadsangry, it looks like you'll be playing Edith going forward. Your mental stats and skills remain the same. I'll post her physical stats and skills later. I think a San check is in order for such a momentous change, forever to be in another body. If you make it, lose 1d3, if not, d6+1. Adjusting to life as a woman will certainly be a journey.

Re: Howie's Speakeasy - "Come on in"
I think Reginald has made two successful skill checks before the BOI meeting:
Improve Persuade skill? (41) [1d100] = 16. Nope.
Improve Occult skill? (32) [1d100] = 7. Nope.
Geez, where was that 7 on the Mythos roll?! I think Carcosa controls the dice roller....

As I contemplate Reginald’s precarious Sanity, I realized we may have forgotten to have you roll for past Psychoanalysis sessions. Do you recall? I couldn’t locate it. If not, it’s 1d6 San recovery I think.

Re: Howie's Speakeasy - "Come on in"
I had assumed that Reginald needed more therapy before he could recover any sanity. But I'm happy to hear that's not the case!
Reginald sanity recovery [1d6] = 1 Of course....

There are differing PC thoughts on next steps in New Orleans, which is fine. Agent Mulder may decide if there isn’t party concensus.

Did the picture in my last post show up?
I saw it on my PC at the time, but now I don't on my iPad.

Re: Howie's Speakeasy - "Come on in"
Well that's odd, it still shows on my PC. Perhaps something to do with the extra-long image address from Google Photos. The picture is important (it doesn't show the body). I placed it as an inline attachment, which hopefully works on all devices.
Re: Howie's Speakeasy - "Come on in"
It worked on my phone. I failed my sanity check.

Re: Howie's Speakeasy - "Come on in"
I should have clarified, Dr. Morgan not being in the room doesn't need to make the San check. (At least at the moment
)

Re: Howie's Speakeasy - "Come on in"
No, I was trying to be funny by saying I personally failed my sanity check. Frank is “safe” outside...

For the failed San. checks in the right room (hand and headless body on bed, symbol on wall), Tommy and Reginald both lose 1 San. point.
