Re: To The Island!
Brandy
Brandy returns to her gear after healing everyone returning her healing bag full of bandages back to the over-sized pack. Realizing that she blasted away 6 arrows in that attack.
Well I guess that will be the first thing to take care of on the island. Arrow replenish. Hope they have a fletcher there.
Not really talking to anyone in particular just feeling the adrenaline drain back out after the battle. She curls up next to her pack for a cat nap.

The Knife
Seeing Brandy apparently having a conversation with her backpack, The Knife calls over to her. "Hey lady! The Knife says why don't you check if any of your arrows are stuck in that fish?" The gnome draws his curved blade and waves it in the air. "He'll help cut them out if you like".
The Knife turns back to Jinx. "Talking to her stuff eh? I hope she's alright. I think the sun's gotten to her".

Feanol
Watching Keyon return to pulling in the fish, she picks up part of what the captain has said regarding them. She then wanders over towards the mast settling down with the others not pulling in the fish, but also where she can get her hand on some of the lines in case of another hit to the ship.

Sorry All the time I spend in the wilds, I sometimes talk to myself since most time there is no one around. I hadn't thought of checking the fish for arrows. Only 3 of them hit so hopefully they are still there.
She hopes up and moves to wait on the fish to be hauled aboard to retrieve some arrows.

Drakkar
Drakkar ignores the cheering and hauling of the great sea beast around him, meticulously sorting out his gear and possessions. Once he is finished with the task, he squints heavily around the deck's length. With a huff, he spots Feanol and limps his way to her; he seems to hover near the drenched Elf. Sea sickness seemingly has caught with him anew now that the battle's tension is slowly dissipating.
"Bluntskulls. A fittin' name, with all the numbskulls about.", he snorts absently, to no one in particular. With the hint of a sigh, he adds gruffly: "Was a close one, magicker."

Hoping her worries over another collision don't show addresses Drakkar "Indeed it was Gentle Dwarf, I would thank you for your assistance as well. Hopefully the captain is right and this trick of his will have moved us outside their hunting grounds."

Elnaerel
Normal Skill Check [3d6] = 13 against 15STR
The young elfin slightly smiles at Captain Quark and, after pulling up the fish, helps prepping the Bluntskull in order to share it with evryone who wants a chunk of it.
"Even if the hulk is now reinforced, in case there's some repairments to be done, we could help with it. Look for suitable lumber, for instance."
She turns to "You must have misheard what I said, sister. I meant beasts and nothing else, of course... Regarding your arrows... I also lost some bullets. But I seriously doubt they are stuck on the fish. She looks at The Knife with that last sentence.

Jinx smiles at the gnome. We all have our ways she says with a wink.
Hearing the idea their may be arrows in the fish, the halfling heads in that direction to see if she can retrieve some.

The Knife
"It was probably laughing so hard at my throwing, it might have swallowed them", The Knife tells Elnaerel. He thinks for a moment. "I doubt it's worth the effort of gutting it though. Just pick up some rocks when you get to the island would be my advice."
The Knife's tone remains serious he addresses Elnaerel, making it hard to tell if he's actually serious about gutting the giant fish to retrieve her sling stones.

Re: To The Island!
Elnaerel looks at The Knife, amused by his humility. "I'd be really lucky if I found some of my bullets inside the creature. It's more probable that one of the inhabitants of the island is now rubbing their forehead." She looks at the distant island, knowing that it would be impossible for a bullet of hers landing so far from where they're now. "Thanks for your suggestion, but these weren't just regular stones, but specially prepared sling bullets. They are... well, more harmful." She sighs. "If I can't buy any over there when we arrive, I guess some stones will do." She then turns to the fish. "Wouldn't you, by chance, have a knife?" She then cracks a juvenile smile.

Drakkar
The Dwarf calls out suddenly towards Captain Quark. "Oi, we made ye a fortune. Every ramshackle Inn down Keoland an' th' Yeomanry will sing yer praises and the catch will only grow bigger with each tellin', the tale taller an' yer pouches fatter. What's in it fer us, Captain?"

Re: To The Island!
The Open Sea
The captain and several others continue to pull on the harpoon rope sticking from the thick hide of the strange fish. As the beast gets close to the vessel the huge dart finally pulls free of the rubbery flesh, leaving the monster carcass adrift upon the surface of the sea. The captain looks concerned for a moment, but immediately starts shouting out commands to his crew to maneuver the sails so that the ship can be brought up directly next to his prize.
The others on board let the excitement wane, once again talking and joking throughout the deck. Captain Quark tries not to laugh when the dwarf asks him about their reward for helping him procure his trophy. "What's in it fer you, master dwarf, is that ye dinna have ta die here today. Oh, and I suppose you will be invited to the feast once we get this monster to shore. Ya see, the folks in Beachtown haven't had much in the way of a decent meal of protein for a while, so they are really gonna like this catch. I only intend to keep the head and tail, the rest will go to feed the town, and all of you, but only if we can get her pulled in before we lose it, that is."
Once the fish is close enough to the ship, the captain calls out for volunteers. "Ok, who's up for a quick swim? I need someone strong enough to get a couple of ropes around this thing so we can secure it to the ship and drag it the rest of the way to shore." None of his men seem interested in doing the job.
Actions?
Keyon elven thief (Paladin)
Brandy half-elven cleric/ranger (Darklin)
Feanol elven magic user (Ahlmzhad)
Drakkar dwarven fighter (Holy_Rage)
Elnaerel elven cleric (Baldorar)
Jinx halfling fighter/thief (Storm)
Fitz gnomish illusionist/thief (Hedgeknight)
The Knife gnomish thief (Jernau)

Re: To The Island!
The Knife
"Why of course," The Knife replies with a big grin. He reaches down and draws the large blade half-way out of it's sheath then stops and begins to speak to it.
"Why not?...look it's only going to be for a couple of minutes...I'm sure she's a very nice lady...well look at her, she's well dressed, has a nice smile...no, I know she doesn't smell all that nice but none of us do, we've all been on this boat...now that was uncalled for! You take that back!...Knife! Knife! Oh I see. So that's how it's going to be. See if I care!" He shoves the knife back in it's sheath.
The gnome looks back at Elnaerel and smiles sheepishly. "Erm....sorry about that...I think it's the ocean. He gets seasick". The Knife reaches around to the small of his back and produces a smaller, previously unseen dagger. "Here, take this one".

Re: To The Island!
Keyon
Keyon drops the rope as the harpoon breaks loose and his eyes widen at the sheer bulk of the beast. "Big bugger, aren't you?" He mutters under his breath. He examines the creature's scarred hide and the marks left by the innumerable small wounds inflicted by blades, stones, and arrows. It seems impossible that even the wickedly-barbed harpoon could've penetrated such thick flesh. He sends a quiet thank you to Lady Luck. "You saved our hides with that trick, Captain," Keyon says matter-of-factly.
He pulls his dripping hair back and fastens it securely once more. "This isn't as lovely a fish as the last one I roped in, but I'm already wet." He shrugs. "So I might as well take a rope."

Drakkar
The Dwarf listens to the Captain impassively, crossing his arms on his chest, his face a stony mask. His lower lip curls momentarily; and he rumbles deeply: "So be it, Captain. Ye tease yer sturdy stouts with the promise of a meal worked already hardly and amply for, whilst yer pockets shall be filled with cold, gleaming gold once ye return to the mainland. Keep yer stinking meal and yer stingy words for those who care fer such. Drakkar will not forget this."
The Dwarf walks off with a stormy frown on his face, returns to his makeshift keg seat near the rail and produces a charred, soot-covered pipe. He stocks it with some kind of acrid, foul smelling pipe-weed and draws heavily from the pipe, peering at the sea with sunken, piggish eyes scouring the horizon. Upon exhalation, the Dwarf is covered in a rich, bluish pall of pungent smoke.

Fitz
There's no way I'm getting in that water!
This thought nearly escapes his lips but he bites it off and watches the other volunteer. When the Dwarf voices his displeasure, Fitz takes note and follows the surly fellow to the railing.
Brushing away the smoke, Fitz says, "Hello. I helped you drag in the lady. I am Cornel...well, most folks call me Fitz. Where are you from, sir?"

Knowing she will be of no help in this matter stays there holding on to the ropes at the mast. Seeing Keyon volunteering, she does get to her feet, and try to catch his attention (as she's still afraid to move from her hand hold). Catching it she'll yell out "Good fortune Keyon, but do be careful".
