Elnaerel will keep firing at the sea monsters.

Keyon
Keyon watches Feanol's ascent as he pulls his wave-battered frame arm over arm up the thick rope. His long hair has torn free of its binding and his shirt clings to his lean torso. The frantic grab for the fallen mage has bled his muscles of their wiry strength, but he grits his teeth and pulls harder. Just when it seems that he must sink back into the brine, Keyon tumbles over the rail and lands on his back in a sodden, gasping heap.

Feanol
As someone pulls her up out of the water Feanol is able to hold her breath until she breaks the surface. After some initial gasping for air she calms to floating and lets her rescuers pull her toward the ship.
Once aboard she falls to the deck gasping for air, and spitting up the salt water she has taken in her stomach and lungs. Still clinging to the rope that was used to haul her out of the sea. She remembers Keyon's firm grip on her as he pulled her up and got her in the rope, and thinks of ways to thank him as she lies there trying to catch her breath and regain her calm demeanor.

Drakkar
The Dwarf's face is inscrutable as he hauls effortlessly the lean Elven woman from her doom. He grunts a nod at the Gnome assisting him and finally offers dourly, as soon as Feanol is safely back on the deck: "Help 'er, see that she lives and nay falls off th' deck. She be a wee thing.".
Huffing, he turns to the gasping, lean form of the drenched saviour, Keyon and snarls: "On yer feet, -dancer-. Ye will need 'em to run away when this whole mess be done.". He cracks his own neck left and right, punches his right palm with his left fist and looks around him for a moment.
The Dwarf suppresses visibly a wave of nausea that seems to catch up violently with him; shivering and ashen-faced, he lets out a wet, gurgling battle cry and takes out his battle axe. Reeling and almost drunken in his gait, he approaches the barbed shaft's taut rope and spits several times vehemently before howling at the Captain: "On yer command, old jack-tar, keep yer eyes to th' sea!", raising the battle-axe as to sever the rope if so instructed.

Re: To The Island!
The Knife
The Knife spots another rack of belaying pins nearby. Unlike the first batch he'd thrown into the see, these still have ropes tied around them.

Without hesitating The Knife draws his curved blade and slashes through all three ropes. The he grabs the first pin and hurls it at the on-rushing sea creature.

The Open Sea
The Knife is a little embarrassed when he chucks another belaying pin into the sea but instead hits the wooden rail, causing it to bounce right back into his tiny face. 1 dam
Captain Quark almost shoots the dwarf next when he attempts to cut the rope attached to the fleeing fish. Drakkar seems almost offended at first, until he notices the heavy duty cleat that the rope is attached to. The smirk on the stern captains face tells the dwarf that all of this was actually intentional. The ship continues to float backwards awkwardly through the water, but the monster pulling on it has clearly weakened and slowed. Quark keeps an eye on the beast while his crewmen continue to shoot at the oncoming shapes. "Stay that ax, mister! If this works out the way I planned, master Dwarf, we should be out of danger here shortly."
While the others try to calm the soaked and salty elves, more shots are fired at the closest oncoming sea monster, slowing it down as well. Between the incessant shooting and the ship being pulled backwards, the next two monsters actually miss their mark trying to collide with the hull of the vessel and end up swimming harmlessly by. This causes the other creatures to adjust their trajectory mid flight, (swim) resulting in all of them missing the ship in some kind of weird chain reaction. The confusion of their failure causes the animals to dive into the depths again, allowing the waters directly around the ship to calm eventually.
The captain smiles wide at the outcome of his successful experiment, spitting into his weathered hands before rubbing them together and shouting, "who else is up for a little fishing?" He grabs the rope and begins tugging on it with all his might, trying to pull the huge skewered fish closer to the boat.

The curious gnome cautiously walks over to the captain, looking all around him, his brown eyes wide with fear...or is it wonder?
"Whatcha got there...Captain? Did you hook one of them...rammers?"

Keyon
Rolling into a crouch, Keyon pushes himself upright and flashes a now-familiar grin at his surly companion. "I owe you one, mate." He turns to seek out Feanol and spots her lying a few feet away in an equally sodden heap.
Keyon crosses the deck and kneels beside her, making a quick, discrete perusal to assure himself that she's all right. He then glances skyward, narrowing his eyes as if searching the heavens. "You know..." He looks down at Feanol and masks a smile. "If you wanted to stargaze with me, you could've just asked." The former pirate chuckles and extends a hand.

Elnaerel rushes to help Captain Bing lifting the load onto the ship. "I wouldn't mind tasting a good chunk of roasted fish after a good... Hunt? That was good work, outmanoeuvering those breasts. What are they anyway?"
Re: To The Island!
The Knife
The gnome touches the bruise above his left eye and winces. "No, Knife, it's NOT funny". He sees the pin rolling around on the deck a few feet away and scoops it up. He draws back his arm as if to hurl it into the sea, then stops, shakes his head and returns the pin to the rack.
The Knife looks at the people gathering to help the captain pull on the rope. "Nope. Not for me. Not big enough to help, and small enough to get trampled" He approaches Jinx and nods at her bow. "Did you hit anything with that? All I got was this goose egg". The Knife points at his bruise. "I think all those wooden pegs have been warped by the salt water". He taps the weapon at his waist. "I'll make a mess of any pirates who board us though".

Jinx keeps out of the way of the long folk, aware their gangly legs just get in the way.
When the knife approaches she starts to put her bow away.
Aye a few I think. It’s hard to tell with all the sea spray. Oo ouch, that’s going to be a shiner. The long shanks always underestimate us proper sized folk. If we are boarded, I will stand with you!
Watching the sea and the hauling intermittently she whispers out of the side of her mouth to the gnome. What do you think these things are? It sounded like the hull split open when one. Of them crashed into it!

Think you had a typo. Or your mind is elsewhere.
BRANDY
Brandy looks at the Captain and Elnaerel in their conversation:
Did she just say breast? She must have something going with the Captain. Good for her.
Brandy makes her way around to all the injured. Seeing to each one in turn and making sure they feel better before moving on.
Keyon
Seeing the type of injury and the wounds she casts CLW.

Stop poking yourself in the eye!
Is everyone else OK? That was intense. Anyone else need looking after? Alright everyone get over there and help the Captain.
She moves over to help after all are taken care of.

I am a little confused about these rolls. What is happening here? Is this something from a later edition or something?

No problem. I was just making sure I wasn't missing something.
Re: To The Island!
Feanol
She takes Keyon's offered hand, and as she stands, still coughing a bit, says "Can't you ever be serious? But thank you kind sir for saving my life." Then she leans forward and kisses him on the cheek. "Maybe one day I can repay the favor".
She breaks the hand hold at the approach of the cleric. Thanking him for healing them both. "Hopefully back on land I'll have less trouble keeping my feet, and after I get this dried out (indicating a book in her bag) I'll be able to assist you and the others".

Keyon
"I am as you see me, lady." The young rogue smiles as her lips touch his cheek. A flash of something, whether guilt or regret, flickers briefly in Keyon's eyes. "Consider it repayed in full," he says quietly.
He seems about to say more, but catches himself at Brandy's approach. In the space of a heartbeat, his usual good nature is firmly back in place. "Thank you very kindly," he says with a slight bow as his battered form regains its vigor beneath the healer's practiced touch.
He dips his head to the ladies and strides across the deck to grip the rope alongside Quark and haul in their mighty catch.

Drakkar
The Dwarf frowns at Captain Quark and growls: "I was nay about to chop it, Captain. I said, on yer command. I be nay a fool to dabble in things I nay have a clue about. Damn ships."
After glaring at Keyon, he watches over Feanol mutely for a long moment, takes his moment observing Jinx impassively; he then makes himself sparse as the Ehlonnan priestess approaches, muttering unhappily.
Strapping the bow on his back, Drakkar recovers his length of rope from the rail with slow gestures, keeping his eyes glued to the endless swathes of water all around them.

The Knife
"I don't know," The Knife replies to Jinx. "Some kind of big, mean fish. I wonder if attacking us was a territorial thing? Or if they really were trying to sink us and eat us?"
He looks over at Captain Quark. "The captain doesn't seem too worried about the damage at any rate. Looks more concerned about having that thing for dinner tonight".
"What's that? Hmm...I'm not sure if that's a good idea" The Knife looks down for a moment, then back up at Jinx. "The Knife is wondering if we should go down below and see how bad the damage is."

Re: To The Island!
The Open Sea
Drakkar takes offense, of course, when the captain gets a little overprotective of his immense catch. Though he meant no harm, Quark knows that bringing in a monster fish the likes of no one has ever seen before is a great way to boost ones professional reputation up and down the western seaboard. The dwarf doesn’t even bother to help pull it in, instead rejoining the others and squaring his gear.
The captain looks down at Fitz when he approaches. “What’s that, oh yes indeed. Though we have affectionately coind them Bluntskulls, Master gnome. Could you stay back a bit please, and maybe keep that slack pulled back out of the way?” The stern sea dog turns a little red in the face when Elnaerel asks again. “We call them Bluntskulls. Never seen them anywhere else before. Some of the men believe they arrived with the island, lass.”
Keyon and Feanol get themselves righted, unconcerned about their public display of affections that might be slowly brewing into something more. Brandy moves through the ranks of passengers, administering aid where she can and encouraging others to help the captain.
Jinx and The Knife get better acquainted as well, discussing the fight and wondering how much damage was done below decks. The halfling seems to be talking directly to the gnome, but the gnome appears to be carrying on more than one conversation. Quark shouts over to calm their concerns. “Not to worry wee ones! The Twisted Fate has encountered these things before and have learned their tactics. We reinforced the hull mightily before setting sail this trip. I believe the damage from one blow will be minimal.”
No sign of danger remains on the water, so the captain and his men continue to cheer as the pull in the huge carcass. The black fish is huge, easily 20 feet in length, and the captain can’t wipe the ear to ear grin from his usually grizzled face.
The RP has been so good in this intro so far that I don’t really want it to end. Should we just do a fish BBQ an take a booze cruise around the island for a few days instead?
Can I get a normal Str check from anyone helping pull with your next post please? Thanks!
