Joker
Curious, Joker re-scans to the Northwest, trying to resolve the interference.

Ok, I think I finally get it.

[4d6] = 16 ghost [1d6] = 6 (so, 17- I guess?)

22 :) The Ghost Dice still adds to your total unless you roll a 1 on that one particular die because it indicates something goes wrong.

Joker adjust and realizes there is a large concentration of readings coming from the northwest and checking against the map on his phone he can see there is a very large and very old cemetery there. Might be an interesting spot to check later for...

The readings go on alert as there is a build up of energy just before the Ghost Hog burst through the glass door!

How many of the crowd cannot get out of the way?

Percentage run over? [1d100] = 67

Most of the people are not able to get out of the way! They fall and or scatter like bowling pins as the big ghost hog runs a circle, charging everyone her cane come across! Lots of people are injured and the rest now run out into the road where traffic screeches to a halt as people flee to the oil changing station and the trees on the other side!

All busters roll for Moderate Moves ≥10; but Mac is on his back and will need to roll for Hard Moves ≥20 to get out of the way!

Any failures is once more a 2d6 of damage.

Lionel "Freight Train" Williams

Easily sidestepping the spectral swine, Lionel gets an idea. I'm gonna try to get it's attention and draw it to me, so get ready to light it up. I'm gonna call the hogs! Lionel starts making a seemingly nonsensical* series of gestures and noises.

*= To those not from the area, anyway. Local sports fans know exactly what he is doing.

Having just enough heads up to see them coming, Jason puts everything he has into getting out of the spectral pigs way.

GM Question: Is there anyway to get a clear shot in where we are due to the people? Or are they not in proton pack range?

Roy gets ready to fire his proton pack at the ghost hog once the "distraction" is set.

Joker
Joker makes a mental note about the cemetary, just in time for the Ghost Hog to burst into the crowd.
(moves 2) [1d6] = 4 ghost [1d6] = 2

He grabs for a trap, then realizes it will just be a hazard for the civilians. He readies his pack.

Mission 7: BBQ for Lupper!
The Firehouse:  Home Sweet Home
Heading out the door!
August 23, 2018, 3pm
Hot and Windy.

Everyone jumps out of the way! Some with surprising grace and then... oops... Joker was so imersed in his readings that he didn't realize the blip moving towards him was actually moving towards him! He gets...

[1d6] = 1

Lucky and only falls on his butt! A bruise maybe. But luckily he was apparently just alert enough!

Then Lionel gets a bright idea!
I'm gonna try to get it's attention and draw it to me, so get ready to light it up. I'm gonna call the hogs!
Roll Mod Cool and see if you can get the hog to come your way!

Everyone has their packs ready, and pointing towards the buildings and not the crowds for minimal casualties and maximum destruction!

Mod Moves for your shots assuming this works!

Lionel, I will need a hard moves roll for dodge if he charges you unless you have another idea.

Everyone, please make clear your intentions for success or otherwise and Lionel's roll will determine which way this goes. Lionel, you're up!

Joker
With the crowd out of the way, Joker tosses a trap more-or-less directly East, trying to back Lionel's play.
After the trap is placed, he'll worry about things like getting back to his feet.

[1d6] = 4 ghost [1d6] = 5

If Lionel succeeds, Joker will open the trap. If not, he looks around, puzzled. Ralph said, "They..."

Lionel "Freight Train" Williams

Whoooooooooo, pig! Sooey!
Lionel calls the hogs, hoping no Razorbacks fans reflexively join in.
As the piggy poltergeist charges him, Lionel stands in until the last possible moment, the breeze from the onrushing hog rippling his pant leg as he dives to safety.

Roy gets his proton pack ready to fire but thinks about what Joker said "Yeah he did say they...how many more are there?" he looks about and tries to see if he spots any other ghost hogs or other spirits.

Ralph's Pink Flamingo: BBQ for Lupper!
Heading out the door!

Hot and Windy.

Lionel calls the hogs of all things, and probably even more surprising, the Ghost Hog skids to a stop and snorts, glowing a bright red and his eyes gloss over a bright firey yellow until it seems almost on fire with etherial smoke radiating off of it.  The ploy works and the Hog begins charging!  WRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Lionel just manages to dodge the charging fireball of pig meat.  Lionel may well be surprised to feel the heat that comes off the hot hog as it charges by with those white hot tusks.  There is also a trail of burning ectoplasm behind it on this latest run.

It is about this time that Joker throws the trap and it lands with precision in front of the hog's path.

Mac gets a beam on the Hog and it squalls loudly! (Nothing this big could squeal!)  It twists and struggles and with no one else taking a shot, it anything but held right now, but it does look at Mac with those yellow eyes, apparently picking a new target as it flares up again!

Okay, so we have 3 guys more or less armed and on the sidelines.  GM's advice, worry about the bacon on your plate instead of the bacon in the skillet ;)

The Orange Line on the map is where the burning trail of Ectoplasm is.  This is 100% impassable without taking some serious damage, and you can feel the heat, so this is free knowledge.  You can even see paint curling on a few nearby cars.

The hog has a beam on it from Mac, but it is only enough to make it angry from the looks of things.  It is now getting ready to charge Mac and is VERY close to him.

Mac, I will need you to make a tough decision:

1) hold the beam on him and take the charge full force, which will be your muscle vs. his.

2) hold the beam on him AND try to dodge which needs to be an Impossible Roll where you need to get to or above 40.  You can spend Bps which you have plenty of, but keep in mind that failure can lead to more damage.

3) Release the beam and just make a hard roll to either dodge (moves) or brace for the hit (muscle).

Understand that any of these choices can lead to a muscle vs. muscle roll with a failure which will determine how much damage you take with either penalty or bonus.

Lionel, you are out of the way and on your feet.  You passed your last roll, but are separated from the rest of the team by both the firey trail the hog left behind and the hog itself.  You know you can easily take a shot (Easy moves) because you are close range and the Hog had its back to you now.  A failure could mean you inadvertently hit Mac.

Lionel "Freight Train" Williams

A bit shocked his ploy actually worked, Lionel almost forgets that the hog is still extremely dangerous. Quickly bringing his proton gun to bear, he is able to get another beam on the ghost. Light it up!
