Vigg is watching the interrogation with curiosity. "Human pirates are stupid. Captured they are and still talking like they are the victors."

The pirate looks at you after a few minutes and says, "I guess you gots no intention of releasing us, then? Well, that is fine. Our comrades will make sure we say nothing to anyone anyways. They do a bang up job of that!" The pirates all start laughing at this point. Their laughter isn't a normal laugh, but a very nervous one...

Rick wonders what the pirates had planned to do with the hovertruck once the last shipment was delivered. Maybe they were going to return it. Maybe they were simply going to abandon it. Maybe they were going to destroy it. This last possibility has Rick a little worried. They searched the vehicle already but they weren't really looking for a bomb.

Rick quietly shares his concerns with T-Prin, Vigg and Lloyd and suggests we stop for a couple of minutes so that Vigg can do a slightly more thorough search to make sure there is no bomb on board. Probably not, but worth a couple of minutes to take a look.

T'prin pulls the vehicle over and helps search for any booby traps.

T'prin, you spend 2 minutes scouring the outside and underside of the truck. You finally come across a gruesome site: 6 blocks of explosives attached to the main power conduit. It appears to be tied into the power switch and has been counting down since you activated the truck to drive it. There is a flashing light on it and from the rapidity of the light, you figure detonation in less than 1 minute!

Lloyd, you get a sense that their fear is VERY real.

Once T-prin makes this known, Rick bales out, taking as much equipment as he can with him. He will also help/push the prisoners out as well.

Nothing like a little tension heightened by a real sense of danger. Lloyd will shove the captives out of the cabin onto the ground, taking as much evidence as he can as he clears out himself.

Okay, I will wait and see if Vigg wants to try to disarm the bombs. Just fyi, a failed attempt will mean the bombs detonate with Vigg right at the core of the explosion. Vigg, ball is in your court, sir.

Ok, Vigg orders everyone to run and dive for cover! Seconds after everyone hits the ground, the explosives detonate and you have pieces of hover truck flying all around you. Soon, the pieces stop falling and everyone gets up to dust themselves off. There is a small crater where the truck used to be. From this vantage point, you can see the lights of the town. You figure you are about 1 or 2 kilometers away.

Rick will walk behind the prisoners to keep an eye on them as we march towards town. Before heading out, he regretfully crosses out heavy laser and parabattery from his loot list.

Vigg moves as fast as a drasalite can... pulling out his toolkit to look at the explosives. "I will try to disarm, but you should move away from the vehicle." Vigg pays no more attention to anything but the explosives.
