Just my 2 cents: the rules about crossing the streams look fine to me. I just hope we don't get in a situation where that looks like the best option for success.

The irony was I put it and the Proton pack explosion charts before seeing where Roy chose to shoot and only then realized, "Oh crap... this is already going to be a thing... Here's hoping..."

Im worried its a bit too much of a love letter to the originals and the stranger things vibe is less than stellar but i have hope, I think it looks solid tho.

Time will tell as with all things, but this is an idea Akroyd, Ramis, and Remie have been kicking around for a long time. I think people are connecting to Stranger Things just from the 80's vibe and the fact Wolfwood was dressed as a Ghostbuster in STs. Not saying it is an invalid observation, just trying to keep them separate in my mind until I see what is being delivered.

yeah so im cautiously optimistic, and honestly anything trying to be Ghostbusters that about as good as you can hope for. plus Paul Rudd makes any movie hes in

I'm likewise cautiously optimistic.

I haven't seen the all-female reboot yet- I've heard mixed reviews on it. For my part, I would have rather they worked within the established lore. If they wanted women as Ghostbusters, I would rather have seen them portrayed as the last operating franchise, hobbling along with cobbled-together equipment and no real support. At least one proton wand that had been duct-taped back together, etc...
