He laughs, self-mockingly. I have been too winded up to sleep, so far. I am sure I will fall down soon enough.
Julia laughs, finding that very funny. I'll have to remember that one. Hey, can you tell me what went on with the job Saturday?
I just need details so I can get the invoice correct. Wouldn't want to over or undercharge.

 I'm working on it!

As the guys pile onto the couch to watch the TV, it takes a few flips of the channel to find some news. Luckily, Channel 3 is wrapping up when they turn on the TV: ...So it will be interesting how the Ghostbusters react to Father Belmont's latest Episode. We leave you today with a look from our SkyCam on Downtown Fort Smith! Have a good day everyone! *Yike that white caddy almost caused a wreck!*

Channel 4: So the weather for the rest of the day is going to be really nice, but expect some storms this afternoon, Kelly.

Thanks, Clint. So, now we are turning to our field reporter, Jamie Roth. Jamie, looks like there is a lot of talk around town lately with the Ghostbusters. You were there Saturday night at the Cavanaugh Mound. There have been more developments in the past day or so?

*Switch to live shot of Jamie walking towards the camera and a slow pan so that she is standing in front of the church with the mound in the background.*

Jamie: That's right Kelly, It was right here, Saturday night where a local congregation walked out from services only to see the Ghostbusters arriving in full gear to take care of a long-time problem.

*Switch to Video: Older woman with the Caption Edna Foster: Church member. "We were just heading out to our car when they pulled in and you could hear the drumming already. I thought: thank you, Jesus, finally getting some help. It was about 8 of them and they went out there in the dark and soon I was just watching and there were all these lights and I was just praying everyone was okay...

*Back to Jamie:* So the Ghostbusters were working with representatives from the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma. This mound and others like it are part of their original land before removal and treaties moved them to the current reservation in Spiro, Oklahoma. Those representatives were unavailable for comment, but we spoke with the Pasture of the Liberty Baptist Church, Brother Barry about his interactions that night with the Tribal representatives...

*Video interview with Brother Barry*
So the short of the matter is simply that this land did belong to them before it did any of us. And like Mr. Ten-Chiefs pointed out, we are not using that area we have come to call the 'backlot' so we have talked it out and see no reason why we couldn't hand it over to them pending whatever legal red tape we need to take care of to make that happen...

*Back to Jamie* And there is the complication, Kelly, there is a lot of claim on this spot, so it is not that simple. Though the church, as far as the land where the majority of the mound is located, can hand over the land with little legal navigation, there is a complication that it would operate as a negotiation with two separate nations in two separate states, *She begins walking again as the camera tracks her* and this can cause some problems with existing agreements for the reservation land itself. Adding to the complications, this is an Archeological site, meaning that it falls into the hands of the state to ultimately make the decision. Finally, this fenceline... runs between the church and the neighboring trailer part. As you can see here, this is the part of the mound that has been sheered off and has been eroding for decades... But the fence itself is not accurate, and the owner of the Trailorpark, LeRoy "Muddy" Sanders, Wants to hold onto the land that falls under his deed and the most recent survey says runs at a slight diagonal line from the street, and right down the peek of the mound behind us. Understandably, with the promise of more land to expand his small business, it is enticing to him.

*Back to Kelly in the Studio*
Kelly: Jamie, you say that the owner of the trailer park is named Sanders, would this be of the same family as our Mayor, Sandy Sanders?

*Back to a nodding Jamie.*
Jamie: That's right. In fact, they are brothers, and his land here is under management by White Hat Real Estate, Company, which of course is owned and operated by the Mayor. So far the Mayor has refused to go on camera, but he did leave us this message.

*The screen switches to a graphic with a picture of the Mayor and his company logo with the quoted text over it. Jamie reads aloud with the text on the screen. "It is as always a great privilege to speak and negotiate the impending deal with our neighbors the Caddo Indians of Oklahoma and we hope that we can mutually continue this dialogue in a good spirit leading to the eventual agreement of what should happen to lands on both sides of the lines which we can then speak about in a clear and honest manner as this conversation as the very basis for business and friendships in today's world.

*The screen cuts back to Jamie.*

Kelly, Back to you.

*Kelly looks like she is holding something back as she transitions to another story.

Joker

To Julie:We arrived. Thomas performed a small ceremony that kept the snakes away. We got to the entrance to the mound, and there were several high-order entities there. Thomas and Jason, apparently, saw a great deal more than the rest of us. They negotiated with the Native entity, trying to settle the problems we were facing.
Brother Barry was called in, and he spoke with the entity as well. We found some energy fields that apparently were tied to white people buried at the mound, and Barry prayed for them before they dissipated.
We made a commitment to erect a copy of a Native Prayer Post, also.
The damn reporters showed up. I accidentally burnt out the Gigameter- we'll need to order a new one.
We didn't actually trap any of the energy fields, but we seem to have resolved the problem.

When the trip to the college is mentioned, Joker raises his hand to go along.

Julia looks a little dumbfounded. Uhm... I'm going to just charge for services rendered... With her eyebrows up she settles into her seat and types up the invoice.

Jason, Joker, Mac, & Roy head to college! If that doesn't sound like a sitcom, I don't know what would.

It was...interesting. The mayor picked me up and took me to his office. He said that someday, with his help, I can run this place. He also said he can get me a seat on the City Council. I don't really know how I feel about either of those ideas. I'm sure his help would come at a price I don't think I'm willing to pay.

Julia looks a little surprised and stops her typing, looking up at him. Picked you up? Like in that big gaudy white car of his?
Ugh, I bet it smelled like those big cigars of his... And he took you to his office to talk to you about running the firehouse? Why?
I mean, I know I am low on the totem pole here, but... You guys seem to be running things fine. Aren't your bosses with Corporate up in N.Y.C.? And what is this stuff about City Council? What did he say to you, Lionel?
she looked like she was at least as concerned about this as he was.

Yeah, he picked me up in his car, but I made him put out the cigar before I'd get in. What all did he talk about? Uh, he started out by telling us we should advertise- billboards, commercials- to get people calling and bring in money. He actually said "we" several times during the time we talked, like we are working together.

He said I have star power and local roots, something the others don't have. He said "we" can use that. I could be in charge of the whole thing, get some shares for myself. Be "head of the local Ghostbuster Department." He could put me at the top of the organization and talked about when we expand, and that he could put some of the company stock in my hands. He wants to take me under his wing.

Then he said that if I play my cards right, he might be able to get me a spot on the City Council. He said something about making a spot on the City Council and getting me in there.

I think...I think he wants to use me to run the FSGB, and get me on the Council so I will try to get them to vote on issues in a way the mayor will benefit. I know I wasn't as good in school as the other 'busters were. It took me a lot longer than it was supposed to just to graduate. But just because I'm not as smart as the others, I can tell if someone tells me it's raining while they're pissing on my leg. I checked the weather, and it's sunny, without a raincloud in the sky. I'd say I trust the mayor 'bout as far as I can throw him, but I've thrown men around on the football field. I don't trust him nearly that much.

The Firehouse
Time to get moving!
August 13, 2018 1:15pm
Nice out but getting more humid.  A few distant rumbles of thunder.

Lionel is able to enjoy some time doing whatever it is he has been doing since getting back to the firehouse.  What has he been doing for the past couple of hours?  Give us a short description, if you would:

At 1:15, he is interrupted by the sounds of Julia yelling his name as well as the Firehouse alarm going off.  The ringing bell, as well as the flashing red light, let's Lionel know that they have a job!  But the guys have Ecto-1 with them, and Lionel will distinctly remember that some of his teammates were working on the equipment downstairs this morning.  This is a bad combination since there are nearly 600lbs of proton packs and other gear here, the transportation with the guys, and a ghost that needs to be caught.

Lionel "Freight Train" Williams

After discussing his conversation with the mayor, Lionel hits the shower. When done, since everyone else is gone, he heads down to the garage and starts pulling out the siren and the lights. Nobody else has seemed interested in working on it with him, so Lionel begins reading the instructions and trying to understand exactly what he'll need to do to equip them to the vehicle when the Ecto returns. After puzzling over it for a few hours, Lionel broke for lunch and some ESPN watching. After his break, he was getting back to work when the alarm started blaring. What the... Setting aside what he was working on, he sprints to Julia's desk to see just what is going on.

So, what are we supposed to do? Can we fit the packs and traps in your car?

Business as Unusual
The Firehouse:  Home Sweet Home
August 13 -10, 2018, 2:40pm
Hot and Windy.

Time Passage:
18 days to the end of the Month:
How many uneventful days? [1d18] = 10

How many jobs in that time?

How many jobs? [1d10] = 9

How many of those jobs were hot?

How many were hot jobs? [1d9] = 1
In the aftermath of the big football showdown at UAFS, there was a lot to go on in a short amount of time.

Roy and Mac were checked out of the hospital on the 15th after some pretty intense care at the hospital across the street from the Firehouse.  Both were on the mend now, in fact, Roy more or less felt like his old self again and was in full swing.  Mac to a lesser degree, but she was shrugging it off for now.

The Ghostbusters had taken the time in the past 10 days to clear out some of the inspection jobs and take care of a few calls.  So far they had all come up as just inspections that lead to nothing which could not be easily explained away.  Well, nothing other than the $500 a pop.  That was another $4k in the bank!  Which lead to a mounting question of how they were planning to spend all that cash...

Before the close of the day after the big game, Jason & Joker are able to work on the equipment needing repairs.  The Trap was an easy fix, only costing the afternoon, but the Proton Packs caused a bit more trouble than they anticipated.  The first attempt by Joker seeming to be a good repair, but on turning it on for a test run, the polarity repeater blew and cost them the rest of the day.  Together though they were able to spend the rest of the day getting the equipment back in working order.  -9 Repair Parts.

Of the 8 jobs so far:
-In Town Residence complaining about ghosts in the walls.  Turned out to be rats.
-Farmer saying his barn was haunted.  Turns out he was seeing light seeping in through newly formed holes in the roof.
-Local Apartment building.  Strange noises.  Turned out to be an avid gamer playing the latest DLC of  Ghostrim into the Sky Castle.
-A local recycling plant complaining about machinery going haywire.  Suspecting the ghost of a local rival company.  Lazy Maintenance.
-Ghost Fish in the river reported by a local dredging company.  Really big but very alive catfish.
-Ghost at a local elementary school.  Timmy is really good at movie makeup!
-Ghost in another local residence.  Little Quincy was just hearing a squeaky bed.
-Local cattle farm alarmed by "Zombie Cows".  Turned out to be an elaborate teenage prank involving cow skulls, sheets, and paint.

So over 10 days, what has everyone been up to?  Make sure to answer this question before posting concerning the following:
THE ALARM SOUNDS!!!
Julia WE'VE GOT ONE!!! All the info begins pinging phones as Julia uploads it into the system while they drop what they are doing to make ready to leave.

Mission 7:
