Sir Crestbrook the Mighty

With his adventure gear ready to go and his trusty sword by his side the mighty paladin stands in a heroic pose staring out towards the island from the dock where the boat first took them. He waits for his adventuring party to come back in order to get back on the boat and finish off what they started. We're coming back for you dearest Cora...We're coming back

As Crestbrook waits by the sea shore, Magg walks up with more of his signature long bamboo poles.

Before the boat returns to Minotaur island again, Maag goes back to the bamboo grove where he cut his original 10' pole. He cuts three more poles of similar length and returns to the beach.

Joe and Pete sit inside their boat and chuckle at the strange gear.

"Ya plan on doin a little trolling on the way there this time? I already told ya that their aint no fish round here."

Alordan feels a buzz in the air around town. Seems like there has been quite a bit going on the past week or so that's not aware about. While he waits on some info around these comings and goings he'll spend a little time at the store or through village to find the materials to make a new net. It seems to have been pretty effective thus far and he left the last one on the island.

Near the beach, Alordan sees a few fishermen with nets strung over the sides of their boats.

Since the fish don't seem to be biting, perhaps a much smaller stranded premade net might be a little easier to lug around than the huge ships cargo net that he was using?

There is smaller sized rope for purchase at the Hi-Lo, but it wont be cheap to make a big net with.

Gramble will go back to the boat with Maag, sharpening his axe as he waits for the others

Maag

Maag smiles grimly at the jokes. "Gonna use dem to make stretchers," he explains. "After dat last trip, I gotta feelin' we'll be luggin' bodies out again". He looks meaningfully in Crestbrook's direction.

The pair of fishermen get a good laugh from Maag at Crestbrooks expense. "So you guys almost ready for the trip back? Who do we see about our fee?"

The men point Alordan down the beach to "a guy they know". This new guy, lets call him Babe, is notorious at bringing in the real big fish. He has three nets that he will sell for 10, 20, or 50 gold coins. The 10gp net has small holes in it and the rope strands appear to small to catch anything other than small fish. The second net for 20gp looks much bigger and stronger. This one is about 10 feet square and looks to be of very good craftsmanship. The last net is huge, about 20' wide x 50' long. This net would fill up an entire backpack, but only if it was folded perfectly. This one might be more than the ranger needs.

"So what'll it be friend? You want the big one? That one will get you the most fish, for sure! As long as you don't try to use it on this side of the island. HAHA!"

Alordan looks over the nets and chooses the middle one - the others just won't work. He hands over 20gp and a glance to Maag letting him know what he thinks of his 'jokes'.

"How much again for a day trip to the island?"

Sir Crestbrook stares out towards the see as if he is day dreaming. Maag's comments snap him back to reality. What?...er...sorry Maag...Gramble...I didn't see you two coming. Did I miss something?...Why is everyone laughing? When did you get here?

He then turns the to look at the two companions. Is everyone ready to go back? Are you two at full strength? Not waiting for an answer the paladin continues. Gramble, you look like you can use a little more healing. The paladin grabs the fighters shoulder on more time.

If this is the second day back Sir Crestbrook lays hands on Gramble for 2 hp.

So...do we go back today or wait until tomorrow.

I will likely be making a new thread up for the return trip anyway, so we can use this thread as a place holder for any conversation before you leave.

I will get the hit points up to date shortly so you can see what is left for healing.

Saracen gathers the others together on the 14th in the tavern, ordering some of the stew and grog from Randall.

I have managed to discover a little more about the island. It seems the place is under some kind of curse, and is the current home of a rather vicious medusa! We suspected as much due to all the Minotaur statues. However, given the verification that such a dangerous creature dwells joint the island, perhaps some mirrors might be wise to purchase for each of those going, so we can potentially look at her without being turned to stone. Given how many Minotaurs she has transmogrified, it may be worth trying to get the bullmen that remain to combat her as well, it might not be possible but it is worth consideration! If we could at least find the words in Minotaur for peace and friend and medusa even, it might prove useful. Where these minotaurs have come from however as yet remains a mystery. What day you all?

Current hit point and spell status at the beginning of the day on the 14th.

It appears that everyone will be at full health with resting and the healing done on the 14th, so we can forgo those rolls if you wish.

If everyone is ready to go, I will make up the new thread so we can continue with this one on the 15th.

If there is anything else you want to do before you head back out there, now is the time.

Are you asking the guy you bought the net from, or the same guys who took you out the first 2 times?
