Maag

Maag sits sipping on a rum, and sketching on a piece of bark when Crestbrook arrives. "Back on yer feet eh Cresty? Good to see yer up an' about". His smile gets even bigger when the second rum arrives. "Cheers mate! Dis is der life eh? Explorin' in der mornin' an' back for drinks in der afternoon".

He sketches a bit more, then addresses Gramble and Crestbrook again. "So, apart from all der weird stuff and almost dyin' a lot, wot der yer reckon about dat island? Fancy goin' back der for more?"

Maag continues to work on his picture as he listens to their replies. Eventually, he finishes his work and hold it up for them to inspect. It's a sketch of Jeevus, inscribed at the bottom: Keep on ritin Jeevus. Wherever you are.

Randall is happy to see 2 familiar faces in his elevated arboreal tavern once again. He serves Maag a tiny glass of his finest (and only) brand of rum. 1 gp

He chats with Gramble and the half-orc normally, asking what they've been up to, when Sir Crestbrook climbs up to join the party. With only a few townsfolk inside the place along with his friends, the paladin loudly buys the pair another round. 2 gp

"Oh, yesa! Yesa! Comin rite up, jano!" The always smiling barkeep rushes back to the bar to retrieve 2 more shots of his most expensive rum. "Dat be 2 goal coin, mi loud fren."

Once Gramble asks about finding another scribe, Randall looks perplexed.

"Mi sure we can fine a nudder fi ya." He replies initially, then looks to Maag and mouths the words..... "What's a scribe?"

Once he spots the half-orcs drawing again, he remarks on it.

"Dats really good mon. Who dat?"

Sir Crestbrook

The paladin winces when he hears the price of the rum but still gladly hands the drinks over to his fellow adventurers, then watches Gramble downs his drink immediately. As Gramble does so the paladin can't help but notice the open sores surrounded by crusty dried up blood as well as oozing puss dripping from them. By the brotherhood...of...Gramble...you are almost dead! Let me heals some of your wounds! The paladin grabs the fighter's forearm and mumbles a prayer. Gramble feels some of the pain in his body subside.

ooc: Paladin power to lay hands on Gramble: Heals for 2 pts.

There...Not much I'm afraid, but better than nothing. He then turns to Maag. And cheers to you as well Maag! Again, thank you for bringing me back in one piece. And yes, I would love to go back and rid that place of foul evil, as soon as I give Cora a proper burial. I'm assume you guys carried her back here as well?

Lerrick

The cleric makes her way to the treehouse as well. She arrives to she the paladin talking to Maag. Moving towards the three of them she glances at Gramble. Oh dear...I didn't know your wounds were this bad. Don't die on us now. We need your axe. Mumbling a prayer and touching him gently on the shoulder, a surge of healing moves through the fighter's body.

CLW on Gramble: 1d8 for [1d8] = 3 hp of healing

She frowns a bit after inspecting her work. Looks like I'll have to keep working on you. I'll be glad to continue patching you up, but not until tomorrow after some meditation and prayer. I do have the power to heal once more, but I'm saving that for this guy (pointing to Maag). Mumbling another prayer she touches the half-orc on the shoulder

CLW on Maag: 1d8 for [1d8] = 3 hp of healing

Thank you both for the healing, standing directly over the amulet when I smashed it toke a toll.

Gramble wipes a tear when he sees Maag's drawing and asks to keep it and places it in Jeevus book.

Yes I want to go back, I think the stone dais is some kind of portal the bullmen come through. we need to take a wizard that knows of such things next time.

Alordan, someone rested from a little sleep, greatly appreciates the healing gifts received.

Alordan listens to Gramble describe going back. "I want to go back - figure out what's going on there. I don't like leaving the body of that lady there either... If we did go back, who'd go with us? We need a strong group to handle just one of those beasts for sure. Who do you think knows about magic around here that could join us to take a look at that Dais?"

Daisy

With some huffing and puffing- the ladder wasn't built with halflings in mind- Daisy climbs up to the Treehouse. She stops at the top of the ladder, looking around as her eyes adjust to the change in light. She smiles at anyone she sees, then walks to the bar.

Ah need a good glass of rum, please. An' a piece of roasted meat, iffen ya got it.

She knocks back the rum, not reacting nearly so strongly as most do to the terrible quality.

It ain't Bunbury sour mash... but it's a long chalk better than the rotgut Sister Mercy used to make in the barracks outta fermented fruit and sugar.

Randall doesn't respond to the spunky halfling initially, unable to see her over his makeshift driftwood and old plank bar. Once he leans over far enough to see the little girl, he puts on his usual wide faced grin.

"Well ello down der, likkle ting. Mi name Randall! An who might you be?"

The gentle native rushes around to the other side of the bar and carries over his tallest stool for Daisy to climb up on.

"Mi no no no Sista Mercy, but me ear dat term rotgut MANY times befo."

With no roasted meat handy at the moment, Randall slides a bowl of his jungle stew in front of the famished hobbit.

"Da rum is one gold. If ya haff anudder, mi will trow in da stew fi free. Juss don't tell nobody mi did dis fi ya, jano."

Sir Crestbrook the Mighty

The paladin jumps out of his seat at the mention of the fallen cleric Cora. WHAT!!!! SHE'S STILL THERE!!! AGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! WE MUST GO BACK!!! I must ready myself for the journey. No time to waste With that, the paladin moves quickly towards the exit. Within mere seconds he is gone. Another scream AGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!! is heard when he is on the ground. No one is sure whether it was out of frustration or whether he fell off the ladder.

Daisy

Daisy smiles broadly at Randall's efforts to be a good host. She places two gold on the bar, making a 'shhh' gesture as she does.

Ah'm Sister Daisy Broadfoot. Good ta meet you, Randall.

When Crestbrook starts his noise, Daisy turns to watch, only moving to help if she sees others doing the same,

Hrothgar sidles up to the diminutive Daisy once the paladin's show is over.

"And I thought I was the loud one around here."

"So, did Liam ever mention what he was going to do about this Bonnie? I hope he is taking care of all that dead leader business around town so we don't have to get involved with that."

Maag

Maag hands over the picture to Gramble, leans back in his chair and puts his feet up on the railing. He alomost topples out again when Lerrick sneaks up behind him and startles him with her healing spell. "Yer...woah! Wot's goin... Oh dat feels much better...Cheers!" He calls over towards the bar, "Randall, mate! Get dis lady a glass of yer finest rum if yer please", and fishes out a gold piece to pay for it.

Maag grins as he watches Crestbrook's sudden alarm. "Wot yer worried about Cresty? She's not goin' anywhere".

"It's gettin' crowded in 'ere", he remarks when Daisy and Hrothgar arrive. Maag pushes a couple of chairs over towards them. "Der yer go. Yer look like yer both need a rest. You an' yer...." He looks at Sophie. "Wot is dat fing?"

Alordan watches Crestbrook react with open eyes. As his wild screaming declarations fade away out the door, he shakes his head. "Well, he's gotta lot of spirit, I suppose... We could use him"

He goes back to ordering a drink (and one for everyone else) and listening to what's happening in the village.

Randall is smiling from ear to ear once some of the big money climbs up his ladder. He rushes around keeping glasses filled with rum and pushing his stew on anyone who looks hungry.

He greets Lerrick with a fresh drink, and another for Maag and Gramble as well. Once Alordan orders a round for everyone, the young barkeep grabs a tray of mugs filled with grog and small glasses of his good rum, handing them out to Hrothgar and Daisy.

"Nice ta meet ya too, Sista Daisy."

"Hey folks! When bidness dis good, mi usually bring out a likkle music to keep people tirsty. Anyone want some free enta tainment? Mi don't use dat word free very often."

Randall nearly falls over when he sees 15 gold coins placed on his bar. He is about to dig something off an odd looking shelf when Gramble asks about his scribe again.

"What......what is...... scribe?"
