Jayson side eyes Jack as he leaves and then turns to the opening door, Hey you came! I wasn't sure if that was real or I was dreaming. Meds are pretty stout. He sees the gentleman behind her and works very hard not to roll his eyes, "Civilians" he thinks to himself. As Doctor "Mike" made his way over he saw Gabby shrink to one side and look at him, he grinned, the meds making it more comical than wry, and turned to the seemingly nice man in white. Hello, he says, trying to extend a hand, Doctor Mike, Im Doctor Jason, and I feel pretty good to have been on the business end of a bunch of angry reptiles. He watches the man, not the first time he had someone who was there because someone was "concerned." Appreciate the concern, but they said I could be out of here by tomorrow, unless you got other news.

Gabby moves over to the bedside but lets them talk to each other.

Dr. Mike smiles and nods at the replies, waving off the attempt to shake hands. Why not just relax, looks like you have a lot of hardware there, but I appreciate that. So, you are a ghostbuster, right? Dr. Ali likes to send me in to talk to folks who might be... in need of a specialist. What he doesn't know... is I was in New York back in '84. Ghosts are real and if you say we have a ghost. I'm willing to assume there is. Should we be expecting your team here sometime soon?

Jason blinked, stunned. Uhh no, nothing like that. He pauses, Sorry I was in gear to give you my last mental health report, uh well there is one here but hes harmless so far as I can tell. Its weird I have studied them and even busted one, but this is the first time I've met one. And he is chatty. he chuckles at the thought of Jack hearing himself described as chatty. He said there were maybe some other less benign ghosts in a part of the hospital all sealed off. I'll let the crew know but it might have to be backburnered. We are working on kind of a big case right now... Say you a local? Know anything about weird cults or anything around here that might skirt into your territory other than the occasional delusion?

Jason turns to Gabby, He seems cool I like him, He shifts his body more upright, almost sitting up now, Everythigns still ok out there right? I mean nothing, uh spooky, going on?

Doctor Mike holds up his hands. Sorry... Patient-Doctor confidentiality. I can't breach that, even if only by a technicality. I'll say this though as someone that has been here a more than a few years, though... something's up. I don't know what, but it feels like New York '84. My family left right after that. Freaked us out. I was just a teenager then, so I can't quite put a finger on it and find the right words, but the air tingles the same, and I always lean to keeping an open mind.

She scrunches up her mouth in a little smirk. I heard a guy got bit by a bunch of snakes, does that count? Do you hurt? Are you hungry? He can eat? Right?

Dr. Mike chuckles. Looks like you are in good hands. I'll distract Dr. Ali long enough for you to sneak him something tasty and keep an eye on your charts. I can also promise the nurses to go through me now that you are under my treatment for stress, okay? In the meantime, I will make sure to Download your psych eval from GBI. Sound good? Assuming Jason is a little surprised. Hey, as I said, I was there, and I make it my business to know certain things. An open mind and all. Plus, I met your coworker the other day... now he needed some help.

Of course, of course, Jason waves his hands, Nothing like that, but just if you get a bunch of people talking about the end of the world. Don't keep that to yourself if you don't mind. No need for the details.[/dialog He chuckles Thanks, you can contact Julia for any medical records you need, theres lots of protocols for this sort of stuff. In this profession we end up prepared for this situation. He nods as the doctor leaves, genuinely impressed. More seriously than was normal for Jason, And Doctor Mike, thanks for doing what you could for Jacob.

He takes a breath and watches out the hallway for a second, To answer your question I am starving, he drums his fingertips together, did you bring snacks?

Doctor Mike leaves and can be heard speaking to presumably a nurse outside, but it is muted by the door.

Gabby, Jason sees, did in fact come in carrying a bag. She nods and arranges the contents on the table for him as she begins adding fresh veggies to steeping hot broth and noodles. Here, you should eat this. It fixes everything. It is called Pho-Ga.
Have you ever had it? My mom always gives it to us when we are sick. Her mom always said it could cure anything, and I am sure her mom and so on said the same thing.

Right on cue... Jack pops in from another wall. Whoa! She is cute! Looks like you dodge a bullet and got that Doc Mike. He's schmoozing the nurses for you and kept them from coming in with... well you ain't going upstairs anyway. Too bad... it is a real circus up there right now. Got a good crop of bonafide crayon eaters up there... Hey, what's that? he moves to take a whiff of the steam coming up from he soup. Hahahaha.... man almost makes me wish I could still eat.

Gabby looks around with a look of irritation. Like there is a fly in the room but she cannot find it and shakes it off as she puts a spoon into the soup.

Jasons eyes wide as he sees her unpacking, I love Pho, he says as he watches her unpacking the meal, On of my favorite restaurants back home is a Chinese food place, the owners are as Chinese as I am, but most people back home never even noticed. But they had Pho, Ban Mi, Ca phe sua da, the works all on the menu. he looks at Gabby like a kid with his hand in the cookie jar, But no caffeine for a couple weeks, promise. and smiles.

Jason is vaguely trying to ignore Jack until the part about the ward being active. Wait, run that back for me... and he stops realizing what hes said out loud. Uhh, ok well I hate to just lay em on the table like this, but Gabby...Jack is with us.. And nods to the air above his lap. He takes a moment and visibly works up his composure, I know you belive in supernatural but I feel like its important to state I am not crazy, I am not delusional, I ...am pretty heavily sedated but this is...well it is what it is. Gabby, Jack. and he nods to the air. Jack, Gabby. Be nice!. He looks back to see Gabby's reaction, Although I don't think he can manifest enough to even interact with you, seems rude to not at least let y'all know about each other.

He takes the spoon feeling his strength coming back to him somewhat and begins to eat, I really don't mean to start talking to thin air, but he said something I need to follow up on. he looks at Jack Whats going on with the patients upstairs?

Oh I also had an idea for what my experience has given me, pending your thoughts. I was thinking a talent "A Small Medium, in an XXLarge" giving to Cool when interacting with Ghosts? I figure you can tell me the limitations but I was thinking maybe having an edge in communicating with, the at least non mindless ones, or whatever you think would be best. I just like the idea that he leaves a bit...I dunno touched(?) by the other side with the whole ordeal.

Gabby looks at him a long moment. Then switching to Vietnamese: Are you truly serious? You are serious! She looks uncomfortable but in an almost uncanny way seems to almost make eye contact with Jack.

Jack Uh.... hello? Hey! Can you hear me? Come in Tokyo! Ehhh.... she can't see or hear me but she is weirding me out...
I kinda forgot what that was like... You know, from fleshy types.
he actually backs up a little and looks confused. What's she doin?

Gabby made a sign in the air, still speaking Vietnamese... but it was off... something old maybe, another dialect.

Jack Hey! Stop that! It tingles! Okay, okay! Sheesh! and he backed out of the room through the wall.

Gabby looked at him and seemed to be less strained but maybe a little more tired. You need to eat... I should go. I expect you to text me a picture of an empty bowl by the time I get home and you will keep me up to date on when you are getting released.
I will be here in the morning. You rest, okay? Got that?

Jason watched Gabby as she forces out Jack, and he looks confused and surprised. I'm not 100% sure what that was, but its ok hes not gonna bother you, but I appreciate the worry. As Gabby commands him to eat he half listenes but nods and "Uhhuhs,"

"What was that, exorcism? Nah it didn't seem to really hurt him. A prayer? A ward for spirits? Hmmm need too look into that, get her to teach me, Jack wont be happy about that I'm sure but it could come in handy, especially dealing with Demonface..."

Gabby:Got that? and Jason snaps out of talking to himself.Of course, he says desperately trying to figure out what she said, "Oh yeah eating and resting sure"Ill be fine. He reassures her.

As she leaves he sits upright slightly more until he is holding his weight on his own, testing his strength and eating his soup, You still there Jack? He says to the wall.

Jack rambles on about some of the patients but it doesn't take long to realize that there is nothing unusual... well, more so than one would expect.

The soup is gooooooood and Jason can almost feel it working in his system already. Before long, he is feeling drowsy with a full stomach.

A nurse happens to come in and introduce herself. Most of the bags go now that all the antivenom is in his system. He is down to a single bag of saline and some antibiotics. After assessing his pain levels, he is given the appropriate amount of good night juice in his IV which Jack seems to really like.

Then he is out like a light.

The next morning he wakes up to see Jack staring at him from about 1/2" over his nose. Haha! Wakey, wakey!
Eggs and Bacey!

After probably scaring the crap out of Jason, the ghost backs up, grinning. Took until Dawn, but the itchy your hottie put in the air finally went away. You can still see me, right?
The doctor wrote on your chart you're getting out of here later.

It happens that the nurse comes in about that time. Well, Dr. O'Rourke, it looks like you... are getting discharged. Now it is none of my business, but you may want to see what is on the news before you head out. See you in a bit... she smiles almost apologetically as she turns on the TV before leaving.

Seen here:
viewtopic.php?f=628&t=7683&start=200#p425513

Jack always a circus with you guys, isnt it?
Maybe if my life were that exciting I'd still be around... eh, maybe not... uh oh.. skeeeee... daddle!
he says backing through a wall as Gabby walks in, looking around. She is holding a small bowl with some fruit and rice.

Morning Jason
Is the èguǐ still here? Jack?
she looks around cautiously. Jack? Here... these are for you...
She lays out the rice, food, and some paper money. She lights 3 incense to add to the mix putting it all out on the counter by the sink, looking around.

Oddly, Jack seems drawn back out and looks at the offering. w-wow... what's this?

Jason enjoys the rest and upon waking up to find Jack staring him down like a cat waiting to be fed was more than a little discomforting.Ahh! Don't do that, no one told you not to sneak up on a guy. catching his breath, and working to keep himself calm, Yeah I can still see you. and listens to Jacks stories of the forth floor. Well at least that sounds like your standard illness, but you have to be careful. We got a lead on a real nasty fella and no one noes the goings on of your side of the street like the folks at the fringes.

As the nurse comes in Jason is sure to end his conversation with Jack, Thanks, he says looking at the TV screen filled with talking heads in front of his HQ, Lord, I'm in here a few days and they kill a guy, I gotta call Julia. He reaches for his phone right as Jack alerts him to Gabby, and he watches her walk in and smiles.

I don't know are you gonna whammy him again? He was not a fan of that. as he watches her set up the offering, Say, èguǐ thats a ghost right? In Buddism? Sorry my heads still a little foggy, but I feel a ton better. I think it was mostly your soup. He can see that shes set out the offerings to Jack, Sorry I just blerted all that out on you last night, but we have something going on that has me on edge and I thought he might have a lead. He reaches out to take her hand, I dont want you to worry but if you get a call or a message from me that says to get out of town, get everyone you care about and leave. It will take a load off my mind to know you would. He looks at her face and sees she looks concerned at that. Don't worry about me though, I'm a professional. And smiles.

Gabby she shakes her head after laying out the piece offering. No, no wammies... èguǐ. It means... hmm.. a literal translation is Hungry Ghost. People how died violently.
Not naturally. We leave them offerings and prayers to help them and they bring good luck.

Jack Oh wow! I dont know how, but I can taste this stuff! Oh my god! I forgot what food was like! What's with the chinko money?

I do, and I will try to do my best. Knowledge and feelings have power, some things the more people know about them or believe in them the stronger they get. And we are dealing with such a thing right now. Jason looks her in the eye It's the sort of thing that just saying its name might get its attention so I cant tell you, you just have to trust me on it. But the short version is there is an entity near town that is big and Evil, with a capital E. Like from what we've found out so far its some primordial evil. Jason pulls himself up and swings his legs off the bed to face Gabby, testing his strenght. I wish I could tell you more but, there isn't much more to tell. Other than the parts that can make it more powerful. I know its a heck of a leap of faith for someone you don't know all that well but I gotta ask you to trust me. He says as he takes her hand.

After a moment, Now they said I should be getting out this morning, lets find a nurse and see if we can make that happen and we can check in on the crew at headquarters? How about that?

Back @ HQ
Get Me Out Of Here!
Aug. 11, 2018, 9am
Cool and smells like Incense now

Gabby fusses over him a little as he sits up and goes to get a nurse and see about him getting checked out. Meanwhile, Jack is still Ooo-ing and awww-ing over the offering she brought. Even though he is not substantial enough to actually eat it like some ghost in the records of GBI, he seems to savor the simulation of doing so. Man! This is a big turn around from last night! She can come to visit any time! Think she could be sweet-talked into bringing a beer next time?

Soon and nurse and a new Doctor come in and give Jason a quick look over. Doctor Yeah, you seem good to go, but seriously, take it easy for a couple weeks and keep the stress down. You can relapse quick and you are more prone to getting sick for a weeks or so. I recommend lots of fluids and work your way back into heavier food. Before long the nurse is unhooking everything from Jason and a wheelchair is brought out. Gabby absolutely insist on driving you back to HQ rather than calling and waiting for a ride.

Jack waves, saying goodbye as you are wheeled out. Don't be a stranger! Hahaha! and then complains loudly as the nurse apparently cleans up the offering as Jason is wheeled down the hall.

Gabby pulls up in front of the entrance in a small black Nissan. The orderlies help Jason in and he is on his way back to the Firehouse.
