Newton

"Rocky Peak, Hob, Dry Gulch and now Junction, is what he said. Goja has a fortress in the mountains to the west, which surely places it in the Rocky Mountains, if that's around 4 days at a mules pace. The bandits are petrified of him and his retribution, he rules them with an iron fist "

Gardo

Once Telemachus and the group is done speaking with the seneschal, he will approach and speak to the mage.

"If I may, I would like to speak with the new warrior you command. I think we need her thoughts on Tinehildi. I felt that she would show up here but she may have headed towards Gajo."

Telemachus

"Go for it, Gardo. I told her to find some high class joint and lay low so start looking there. Tell her to get her ass back to the rally point, too. We need to get back to sweeping these hexes."

The mage finds his lieutenants and asks for a status report on the squads. Are they ready for action or hung over? If there's any way to quickly fill the open slots caused by their recent casualties, he'll order them to make it so.

Casfrea is waiting at The River's Edge when the companions return from the Seneschal. She looks ready to go.

Lieutenant

"They're hung over, sir, or at least most of them are, but they're ready to go." Madam Fleur promises to start looking for recruits to refill the ranks of the riders.

Telemachus

The mage asks Casfrea if she needs anything in the way of mundane equipment.
Other than potentially getting some equipment for Casfrea, I'm ready to pick up the hex sweep again.

Feargus
Now that he sees the lay of the land a bit, Feargus visits Madam Fleur about keeping an eye out for a young squire to help keep him organized if they are going to be out and about.

He then heads to the stable to prepare his two mounts for heading out.
Just a henchman. No need to go into much detail (if any) but thought I'd put it out there. Otherwise I'm ready to head out.

Casfrea indicates that she is set, for the time being.
She's got, in addition to plate and a two-handed sword, a backpack, a week's worth of iron rations, a dagger, a whetstone, a tinderbox, a wineskin, and a bedroll.

Gardo

"Well met, Casfrea. First, I must say that my words yesterday to see you punished when we returned are no longer true. Since you have sworn to assist Telemachus, I no longer seek it. I tell you that I will fight by your side for our cause if you allow me."

"One other thing and this may anger you but I need to ask you about Tinehildi. We gave her the opportunity to come to Junction and possibly join us in our actions. I have not seen her here nor has anyone else. Do you think that she would have headed to Gajo? Would she have moved on? Might she just be slow in coming here? If she is going to be a risk for us, I would like to be informed now so I can be prepared for later. Thanks in advance for your answers"

Casfrea

"Who can tell with that crazy woman. She is mercurial in both thought and deed. The fact that she was so quick to sell us, her companions, out so quickly should speak volumes as to her trustworthiness. She and Gajo were not especially close, nor were they quarrelsome. I believe she has kinfolk in a place called . . . Limal? Liwil? Lovall? Something like that. A village in the hills to the south and west of here. Perhaps she went there."

Thirdmonth, Eighthday through Tenthday
Hex 73.46

The next three days are spent thoroughly exploring the remainder of Hex 73.46, as it is referred to on the Seneschal's map. Little of interest is to be found, except for the following:

*The aquaduct runs for about a mile. It is mostly ruined in places, covered in moss and lichen with tree roots worming their way through ancient mortar.
*The majority of subhex 0404 is comprised of a placid lake. It's big -- at leasy a mile across, and fed by a small stream flowing from the northwest that eventually feeds into the Sarn. This area cannot be completely explored without a boat, but as the adventurers are skirting around the hex Newton sees movement under the water. There's something big in the lake, something unseen.
*Just north of the lake the adventurers discover a door of oak banded in rusted steel, set into a rock outcropping. The door is man-sized, or perhaps a little larger, and has no evidence of a lock, keyhole, or knob. It also cannot be opened manually -- at least, not without greater effort, but doing so will likely destroy the door.

Upon their return on the Tenthday the adventurers find that the streets of Junction are busy with talk of banditry; some bandits were apprehended earlier in the week, attempting to rob a shipment of ore, and judgement has been reached upon them.
if there's anything you want to retcon in go ahead and do that. I'm just posting through some time.
I'm going to roll out a couple days encounters: Encounters on 1-2:: 3#1d6 6 5 1
Encounter on the last day: http://orokos.com/roll/736081: 1d8 2
Okay, that's a bandit encounter. They've been eliminated, so no encounter.

Here is the explored hex, in all it's GM glory. Subhex 73.46

Telemachus

Telemachus wants to:

Return to the Seneschal and see what the decision on the bandit reward was
Check with the Factor on new mercs to replace our losses
Check with a local temple to see if the party can pay a priest to divine what's swimming in the lake. Check also to see what's behind the door

Newton will go with Telemachus to see the Seneschal and also Madame Fleur (to see how we are doing with henchman recruitment). He wonders aloud that maybe there is a magical way we can open the odd door.

Aldus takes the door as an affront to his professional pride. "Why build a door without a lock? It's outrageous—it's unfair—it's... well, it has to be wizardry, doesn't it? Think they're too good for an honest lock-pick. No offense, Telemachus.

"If we don't have access to a spell or something, we could just load the lads up with pick-axes and shovels and dig around the door!"

Newton

"It does seem odd. I can get a spell that bends wood, the area it affects is small, but it might assist in forcing the door open. Perhaps the Baron's mages might have some magic that might help, if we can persuade them to part with it for a reasonable price"

Telemachus

“I have a spell that can open the door, assuming no mage of a higher Order sealed it in the first place. I would simply like to be prepared for what’s behind the door. These portals have an annoying tendency to be hiding large quantities of undead and we currently lack a Cleric or Undead Hunter.”

Gardo will accompany the group on their rounds and see what Madame Fleur has to offer.

"The door can wait. We have another area to clear out before we get paid."

Seneschal Beorthmac

It takes a half hour before the Seneschal is available to see the adventurers. "Well," he says, "you were right. They were certainly planning on hijacking the shipment of gold ore. Since they are new to this region, and were not wanted before you apprehended them, we're willing to pay you a bounty of 1000 gold for the lot of them. The leader, the one they call "The Boss", and his two lackeys will be executed, of course. The others have been turned over to Red Sky for use in the mines. Let them work off the debt they would have stolen. There is," he looks down at his papers, "the issue of a woman named . . . Casfrea, one of the Boss's lieutenants. We were informed by several sources that she was offered employment by one of you. It is concerning to me that a brigand, who may have committed terrible acts of violence, may escape consequences. Can you offer a guarantee that she will not cause any trouble?"

~~~~~~
Madam Fleur
Fleur has found one horse archer looking for work. "You're going to need to give me more time," she says, "I can't just pull a handful of horse archers out of my ass." She also informs Telemachus there are two temples in Junction that may be of service: Sarnis, the goddess of the river, is the main deity of this region, although Manifest maintains a smaller presence in town. There is also a temple about nine miles east, the shrine to Sabeth. He is the god of the woods of these parts, and may also be of some help."
Madam Fleur
"Come to me on the Twelfthday. I should have some recruits for you by then."
