Im cool with that call Gerrin, here is the creator's take on crits and fumbles:

20-or-1 types of critical hits and fumbles tend to make life distinctly uglier for the PCs, and SWN's already a pretty lethal game by the book. It's always fun to roll 20s when smacking berserk warbots, but then a mook rolls a 20 with a shotgun and you're back at chargen. Still, if you and your group like the extra peril, you can grab just about any D&D-style critical hit table and plug it in. It should work just as well with SWN's combat scale, though it might make more assumptions about using melee weapons than space adventurers might prefer.
