I am going to summarize this a little so we can begin getting the threads synced up so you can put your heads together and figure out where to go next, and also meet your new teammate.

There are a few variants of the same story already told to you about Old Griff and one man that swears it is some green scaley critter, and he saw it once. Most can recite the same story about how Old Griff was a dedicated but vocal worker for safety and ironically was killed on the job when trying to fix some of the faulty equipment he often complained about.

The utility room itself was more or less intact since it was overbuilt for just such an incident in mind, though no one ever thought it would be with someone inside when the boiler went off. The story gets more gruesome as some begin mentioning that there was nothing left but some stains on the wall ceiling and floor since he was "exploded", leaving nothing but the heavy hammer on the floor outside the door. They did what they could to give a proper memorial, burying an empty casket and everything, but truth was, there was simply nothing left but a mess for the custodians to clean up.

The new heating system went in and had actually been updated a couple of times. Safety had become a major part of the working conditions within the warehouse, and all the workers agreed that it had gotten considerably better as years went along. Some joking even mentioned that it was a little obsessive. Especially from "The Old Man".

Almost everyone can tell you a story about someone else getting hurt. A popular one seems to be "So he set his hard hat aside" for insert whatever reason here. "And next thing you know, Bam! A hammer hit him on the head" or insert item "Fell off a shelf for no reason to fall on his head."

One of the old-timers tells the same story. You know... I am not big on superstition and the like, but I have seen too many people hurt for stupid reasons. See this hardhat? I don't take it off until I am outside that door, and I don't come in without it on.
Is it a ghost? Is it because accidents happen and it is the ones when someone isn't following the rules? I don't know. But I do know that of all the times I have even been in one, I walk away cause I have a hard hat on.
he shrugs and more or less is done with it all, heading back to work.

Etta, after taking careful notes, checks her phone. "Still no reply from Julia. Maybe we should head back to the firehouse and see how the others are getting along."

Lionel "Freight Train" Williams

Yeah, I think we're done here for now. We can fill the others in and put together a plan for tonight. They're gonna be so excited when they find out we've got a paying gig tonight!
On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.
