Dropping his flail but keeping the lamp high, Ruthgar takes his symbol of Tyr from his neck and presents it to the skeletons: Tyr casts you from this place!....

Sandarin Highhill

As the clerics step forward to try and turn the skeletons, Sandarin follows up and swaps weapons drawing his footman's flail.
He will attack any remaining skeletons.

The skeletons swarms the party attacking at random. Boney fingers tear and grind at the group failing to penetrate the metal of armor and shields until 2 of the undead swarm Allan.

He almost manages to dodge the first taking a light swipe on the arm, but this leads him directly into the grasp of the other who rakes its sharp fingers across his throat rending flesh. 11 damage total

Phil slams his spear into the skeleton attacking him the power of his strike shakes the bones apart and it collapses in a pile. As the rest of the party fails to land a blow the 2 priests cal upon the power of their gods

The skeletons immediately turn and scuttle away as fast as they can back the way they came.

Allan watches the power of the gods repel the undead advance. With no immediate threat, and his wounds grave, he slowly enters the meditative kneeling position known as the Deep Breath of the Dawn to calm and focus himself.

Phil pokes around the skeleton he demolished, looking for anything interesting, and asks the party Will the undead that were driven off stay away, or will they return to plague us? If so, how long do we have to prepare?

Sandarin Highhill

The paladin will place himself at the head of the group, watching for any returning enemies.
If any return he will attack.

Attack roll -[1d20] = 20
Longsword damage - [1d8+1] = 8+1 = 9

Moony

"I expect them to return, maybe they guard the chambers here in some eternal pact or risen from their grave in thrall to a necromancer. We should prepare for such an event."

Well any plans of sneaking undetected are blown. So maybe use the pews to form a barricade to shield us and have the warriors to the fore while we use bows and slings to pick them off?

Is that the body of Dilbert's friend?

what rules do you have regarding oil as a weapon? thinking laying a pool of oil on the other side so we can light up the skeletons standing in it.

Picking up his flail, nodding at Allan, Ruthgar then turns his attention to pews. Ja, they will back, not to long from now. Might as well get the fight out of the way....

Nodding, Phil sets his spear against the wall, he readies his sword (wielded 1 handed) and prepares for what may come next.

As Moony said, let's pull some of those pews back and use them as a fortification in front of the hallway. We can retreat back the way we came if needed. Also, if one of you has a torch, we can keep it struck to the side. If we are being overrun we can set the barricade ablaze.

Ruthgar will take a try at moving one of the pews.

Ruthgar moves forward to the pews when he reaches them the torch light reveals there are two lines of pews 6 in each line and at the edge of your torch light to the north a large altar.

Sandarin Highhill

Sandarin moves forward to help with moving the pews. When he sees the altar he pauses and tries to confirm the altar has been used for evil rites.

(OOC - Detect evil in and around the altar area.)

Ruthgar is able to nosily drag one of the pews back to the entrance way. Sandarin stops and concentrates towards the altar 20' ahead.

Sandarin Highhill

"Ugggh" The paladin staggers slightly as he puts his hand up to his hand.
"Beware the altar! I feel it's evil."
He steps back trying to regain his equilibrium.
He grips the hilt of his sword tightly and watches the area around the altar.

Moony

Deducting two flasks of oil to lay across the floor in front of the barricade, he lights a torch ready to toss onto it when (or if) the skeletons return.
