Hello

#1 Post by Fearghus »

I am the typical lurker that roams boards for years with less than a dozen posts to his name. Always questing for that "perfect" system, I enjoy playing all iterations of D&D, AM, and WW. I find myself appreciating the writings of Ed Greenwood more and more and attempt to implement his style of an open world to my players, free of rail-roading, and rife with plot, intrigue, and reward for action.

In the back of my mind is the constant desire to run a PBP set in the Forgotten Realms (or one shots based on the short stories of Clark Ashton Smith and Lord Dunsany), using a simplified D&D Next rule-set or some other simplified version of the rules. Until then, I'll lurk and use your ideas in my table-top campaigns to continue to engage my in-person players. Looking forward to perusing the site.

Fulfill your desire!
We could always use another game and GM!! ;)

Oh, and welcome! Great intro.

--Ron--
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

If you stop lurking,
They will follow.

I assume you probably don't need the links to the appropriate info on being a player or GM on the Unseen Servant Forums?

In case you do...

Fearghus... hmmm, that's not after the man-at-arms character from Roar is it?
Great, fun, show.
