Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)
Randall looks Galanthas over carefully.
"No man. Mi doan rememba ya. Sorry! Randall usually neva fi get a face. Juss tree day ago ya say? Why mi no remeba ya, den?"
Seeing the elf enjoying his grog, the usually stingy barkeep fills him another, on the house.
"Drink dis, mi fren. Maybe it elp I rememba tings betta." He says with a laugh, hoping he hasn't offended anyone.
He looks Wes with a joke before departing. "Randall Encounter? Wha dat mean?"
He moves to the other patrons, bragging about knowing the pair who saved the missing baby.

Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)
Galanthas doesn't like that much not being remembered but he can't help cracking a smile when the cheerful bartender hands him over a second mug of grog: "That was really kind of you, sir!" He lifts the mug looking at Randall and Wes before taking a good gulp... that makes him cough.
"By the way, Wes. I'm still kind of, well, wounded, from the encounter with Pterry. Would you mind calling to Obad-Hai again to ask him for assistance?"

Wes
"There's nothing I can right now, sorry." replies the druid. "But before we set out, I'll be able to give you Obad Hai's blessing and return you to health". Wes smiles and raises his mug "And a good night's sleep won't hurt you, though this stuff might." He sips and grimaces.

"Ya new ere, eh? I neva seen no one climb so fass. Ya part monkey?"
When the wine is ordered, Randall actually laughs.
"Mi no got no wine, mi juss got rum......or grog!"
"Stew will be no problem dough, coming rite up, jano!"
Lerrick can help but smile at Randall's comment about her climbing abilities. She steels a glance at her new bracers then turns back to Randall. Give me the grog then. It's a special occasion. After Randall leaves the cleric stands up and walks over to the wall where the half-orc put put the pictures. She can't help but stare at the picture of Judson. Where have I seen this man before?, she asks herself. After a few more moments she moves back to her seat and eats her stew. She then takes a healthy drink of the grog and winces. Ugh...how does one enjoy drinking this stuff!

Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)
Randall continues chatting with Lerrick when Gramble climbs up into the tavern asking for ale.
"Mi got no ale, juss rum.....or grog."
After listening to the normally quiet human for a while, Randall gets an idea.
"Hey! Lerrick ova der is lookin fi some ting ta do too. Why doncha boat go out to da beach to fine dem lizard again?"

Lerrick looks at Randall, Yes, that is a good idea. She pays for her meal and thanks him, then gathers her stuff, then descends the treehouse to the ground and heads towards the beach area.
2 sp for the meal?

Gramble
Approaches Lerrick
Ho there, I have a plan to round up some giant lizards we saw up the beach to use as transport and labor. With the lack of horses I think it could be lucrative work. What say you want to join in and split any profits 50/50?

Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)
Lerrick enters the treehouse again and listens to Gramble's proposition. Yes...I know of the lizard you are talking about, having walked passed it on the way back to town. I am willing and able to assist you and I agree to your terms. Let's do this.wolfpack wrote:Gramble

Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)
The adventurers who have been around town for a while now have noticed a slight change in the normally tight pursed barkeep.SirOwen wrote:Day 12
Avaala the Grey
Avaala wakes early on the twelfth day. He and Treasure make for the Treehouse for breakfast and a short rum each. Avaala hoists his glass, turns to Treasure and says, "To Rollo! No finer dog have I ever known. Faithful, Ferocious and Strong. I'll miss you. Good boy!"
Is that a gp apiece for the drinks and a silver apiece for the stew? Just checking.
Randall only charges one gold coin for the 2 rums and breakfast. He nods to Avaala as if to say he's got the rest.
"Randall rememba da priest ya gwan try ta fine. Mi neve liked dat guy. Him a creepy one, dat! You an you fren be very careful wit dat one. Mi tink him plenty powerful."
Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)
Paid!
Avaala the Grey
Avaala nods his gratitude to Randall for the food and drink. And after the barman speaks of the Cleric, Avaala asks, "Randall, I do not think I have met this priest. Could you tell me what he looks like? Hair color, eye color if you noticed, how he dresses? Anything would help, if I can spot him when I see him."

Randall nods, his demeanor remains very serious.
"Him was a creepy sort, always walking roun wit him head covered unda him hood, no matta ow hot it was outside. Black robes. Grey air. Him face was pocked and pitted, an him looked old ta Randall. Very old."
"Truss I. When ya see dis guy, ya will know its im."

Avaala the Grey
Avaala trusts Randall's judgement on the Priest in question. "Thank you, Randall. I promise you, we will be very careful dealing with him." As Avaala and Treasure start to leave, he turns to the barman one more time, "I don't suppose this Priest ever actually mentioned what god he worshipped, did he?"

Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)
Randall thinks about the last question for a moment.
"Naw, mi no tink so. Mi bet it was a bad one dough!"
The young barkeep shudders visibly when he thinks back to the scary priest.

Maag
Maag's powerful muscles easily haul him up the ladder. He puts down a couple of gold pieces and orders some rum and a bowl of stew. "Hit me wiv yer best stuff Randall, me ol' mate".
Once he's served, he sits down and produces his charcoal sticks. He starts to draw a picture of the statue he saw on the island, and waits to see who shows up with an interest in returning there.

Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)
Randall serves the squat half-orc with gusto, despite his hard to follow accent.
He gets Maag a big bowl of his now infamous jungle stew and pours a tall glass of rum for the man. When he sees the drawing of the minotaur, a concerned look crosses his face. "Was dat ting?"

Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)
Randall takes a quick visual inventory of his clientele before realizing that there are only beleaguered townsfolk in the tavern today.
"Ya lookin ta ire on a few mo pee pole befo ya gwan back out der, eh? Dats a good idea. Dat bull-man ting look very dane drus."

Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)
The door opens and the paladin enters. He stands there for a moment until everyone in the room notices him, then bold strides over to Maag and Gramble and grabs them firmly, one hand on each of Maag's and Gramble's shoulders. In a loud bold voice he states: Thank you Maag and Gramble for carrying me to the boat. Lerrick awoke me from my state of unconscious and then told me that you were both here. Before they can speak Sir Crestbrook turns to the barkeep. Please make ready a second round of beverages for these two!

Remember that time is flexible when in town, so just go ahead with this one.
