The cleric joined the others in the library. It was a dusty place and had been strewn to no end. Before he left the haunted statue, however, he picked up one of the flasks of the alchemist's fire and placed it on his belt for safe keeping. As he waited for the others to complete their search of the room, Hargrem continued his prayers to Tymora, as he felt something major was going to be happening soon.

As Klilxuac examines his newly found scrolls, the others pitch in and begin searching as well, and Kelben manages to uncover a large tome, written in Draconic and bound in dragon scales, which, glancing through a few pages, appears to be detailing a period of dragon lore.
Once everyone is ready, Kelben opens the wooden door on the far wall to expose a brief hallway, which, after 10-feet, turn to the right: After the bend, the hallway transitions into a set of damp and crumbled steps which appear to descend sharply.

With seemingly only the one course of progress available to them, the group, led be Kelben, presses on. The gnome rogue, testing for traps as he moves, approaches the set of damp and crumbled steps which descend sharply, continuing downward for roughly 20-feet before leveling out: Pushing on, in the dark, subterranean corridor, this new, lower passage continues for roughly 40-feet before a second set of stairs, this one offering a steep incline, presents itself. At the top of this new set of stairs, the passage continues for maybe another 25-feet before the passage turns sharply to the right: You suspect, based on the series of right-hand turns, that the declining and inclining stairs dropped you beneath something -- likely the northernmost arboretum.
Peering around the corner, the gnome scout sees nothing but a long corridor, so he advances forward, waiting for something to come into view.
After maybe 70-feet, a wooden door, that is closed and locked, presents itself off to your left.

With the assistance of Hargrem divine guidance, Kelben sets his picks to the lock again... and a look of surprise spreads across the face of the gnome as he hears the familiar click of the tumblers on the challenging lock shifting into the 'open' position.
With the door now unlocked, and with no noise heard coming from the other side, Kelben slowly cracks the door open to reveal a new 30-foot long by 20-foot wide chamber. The entire floor of this new area consists of fresh, well-tended to soil which plays home to several small bushes and pale saplings; supported by a faint light emanating from some luminescent fungus sprouting in patches along the ceiling.
Rough wooden shelves, filled with a scattering of tomes and scrolls, line the left and far wall, and a rough-hewn desk stands in the center of this new chamber, which appears vacant.
Another wooden door, similar to the one that led into this room, is spotted on the right wall.

The sorcerer manages to find volumes of books storing seasonal records of growth, precipitation, harvests, and similar notes for the surrounding lands for the last dozen years. This clearly must be Belak's study.
One tome, however, its title -- Treasures of the Fire Lords -- written in draconic, catches the dragonborn's attention.
