Can Alordan climb the barricade to fire off a few arrows or will that take more than a single round?
Re: B S (IV)
Can Monocar still duel wield the broad sword and the longsword?

One full round to climb to the top.ravenn4544 wrote:Can Alordan climb the barricade to fire off a few arrows or will that take more than a single round?
Yes, but with major penalties to both attacks. Are we seriously going to go through all of this again? You’re killing me here!Bluehorse wrote:Can Monocar still duel wield the broad sword and the longsword?

Hey! I am doing this out of respect to you and long standing tradition of players everywhere trying to see whatever they can get away with! oh yeah.... and you're pretty.

I have a face for the internet.

Re: B S (IV)
I just tried the "maybe he won't pick up on this" gambit too, but OM didn't fall for it. Let's keep this up, we'll breach his defenses eventually!

There were pools of naturally occurring liquids much akin to gasoline in the ancient middle-east, considered useless by the inhabitants due to its volatility. It should have been invaluable considering all the warring that has continually plagued the region.

Yes, and yes. (is my map really that bad?)
Though they have a good deal of cover, so they will be harder to hit.

Re: B S (IV)
Here we are again playing another round of Monocar's Mystery Macro!
There is no way you are +7 to hit.......anything.......ever.
A broadsword does 2d4 damage, not 2d8.
And I think you're a little low on your damage bonus as well, which is a bit of a surprise, actually.
I will need some explanation on how you are coming up with these numbers.Bluehorse wrote:
Magic Broad Sword (Charge) [1d20+7] = 9+7 = 16 [2d8+4] = 8+4 = 12

Re: B S (IV)
+2 charge to hit. +1 for magic sword +2 each for Dex and STR bonuses. As for the damage, I am starting to think we are looking at different books, but I am at work and would have to wait til later to compare.

Re: B S (IV)
Let me help you out.....
I know the +2 attack bonus on a charge is always tempting to take advantage of, but there are very specific rules on charging that you aren't taking into consideration.
A charge should be clearly announced in your actions so I can adjust your AC accordingly for that round. You cant charge from the top of the pile because you aren't on flat ground. Climbing down from the pile would have been considered part of your movement. You cant take any other actions during a charge other than running towards the enemy and subsequently attacking the enemy. If you look at the map, you have already moved forward to engage the enemy, so no charge would have been allowed this round anyway.
There is no such thing as a melee DEX bonus in 1E, so I am not sure what book that came from.
So, your "to hit" bonus looks like it would be a +3 this round. (2 for STR and 1 for the sword)
Damage for a broadsword on a medium sized opponent is 2d4.
Your STR would give you a +4 on damage and the sword another +1 for a total of +5 on damage.
If we are using different books, I wish we would stop it.
