Sounds good to me.
Liam is curious and nods. Lets see what you have to show me, Joe.

Re: It's Good To Bee Liam
Joe leads the way into the jungle just west of the loggers trail, only a few yards outside of the Beachtown clearing. There he shows Liam a pile of large black rocks stacked up at a 90 degree angle. Though it is in the middle of thick vegetation, the ground is clearly trampled badly in this area. It is clearly no secret that this is here.
“I stumbled cross this thother day when I was taken a sh....ah.....walk out here. Whadda ya spose it is, Mr. Liam?”
About 50 feet to the north, he shows him another. They pass a large pile of unstacked rocks along the way and Joe makes another comment.
“What the heck? This pile weren’t here yesterday!”
“You spose we could use us some a these fer yer place, boss?”

Re: It's Good To Bee Liam
As silent as a church mouse in this element, the elven Beachtown Constable Glansandi Storeyja suddenly appears from behind a tree trunk. He gets uncomfortably close to Liam’s face when he speaks.
“Hello again, Liam. Do you know what is going on out here? Tell me, why would you suggest bringing this to Mr. Nehru’s attention, when you know that I am in charge of such affairs?”

Blindside! So the abandoned PC is not the Villian NPC! Nice! Poor Liam.
Liam looks at the Constable as he comes out of hiding. He offers a smile as is his custom. Ah! Constable! Good good. There, you see Joe? We were worried for nothing! Our law officer already has the situation under control. As for your question sir, When I saw the stones, I was worried my apprentice here had stumbled upon a set of property markers or perhaps some sign of native activity. I only thought Mr. Nehru would be interested in knowing about such things, but if you are already here, then the situation must already be taken care of...
He really wished that he had thought to bring Fiona along.
And that I had not forgotten about the damn dog until now...

Re: It's Good To Bee Liam
I could remind you that so far dogs have a pretty terrible track record in this game.
The Constable nods at the humans.
“Yes. Property markers was the first thing I thought of as well. But who would be attempting to build a stone structure here in the jungle. I have had to chase a few other curious folks away from here already, but nobody seems to know what is going on. I have been keeping my eye out, but nothing goes on here during the day. Very peculiar.”
The stern elf looks both of you up and down again, suspiciously.
“You don’t need to bother Mr. Nehru over this. That poor man has enough problems of his own to deal with! I will figure out who is doing this if I have to stay out here all night!”

The man has his suspicions but he hides them behind his smile and nod as years of politics in his father's house had taught him. It helped that most people said that he had eyes that were more than a little crazy, which lead to many underestimating him. Yes, I agree!
That poor man seems like so much butter over too much bread as the saying goes. Between you and me... he leaned in conspiratorily. I am curious of why someone more like yourself is not in charge... or at least splitting the duty more down the middle. Not that Mr. N. is bad at his job, but someone with a little more.... power behind their actions, like you, would seem more effective outside of the realms of Aquisition. Let a man like him deal with the shipping orders so to speak and someone like you who can keep his finger on the pulse of other things like this. What are your thoughts?
Is it too late to morph Fiona the wolf hound in Fiona the sub-adult bronze dragon?

Re: It's Good To Bee Liam
Constable Glansandi scowls at Liam once he mentions the possible usurping of Mr. Nehru.
"My thoughts are my own, but I assure you that I have no interest in running this town. I merely stepped up to this position because I saw it as a great need. I am but a humble soldier. Good with blade, yes. But I have no desire to lead these people or to practice politics here, or anywhere else for that matter."
"Mr.Nehru is my boss, plain and simple. I will not tolerate discussion about him stepping down from his duties any more than I would discuss a bees mating cycle with you, sir."
He turns to look Joe up and down for good measure.
"You too eh? I have heard about you. Joe, isn't it? Don't think for one second that I have forgotten the story about the missing baby, Joe."
The stern elf continues looking around at the strange site you've found, not certain if he should ask for any more information.

Nods. He still didn't trust the constable, but at least he was outwardly not looking to usurp Mr. Nehru, or was smart enough to not admit as much yet. Liam would keep an eye on him. Not overthrow. Simply help him delegate, but that is not an issue at the moment. As you say more pressing matters. What do you make of these stones? Have they been placed here recently or is this a discovery of something newer? Very curious either way. As to these rumors about my apprentice here, as a lawman, you should know about due process. It would be unjust to judge a man with only circumstantial evidence at best. Besides, Joe has been a great help to me these past few days. He has been right there with me where I keep an eye on him and he keeps an eye on my animals. Isn't that right, Joe?

"That's right boss! You tell em!"
Glansandi looks sternly at you both before responding.
"Don't preach to me about due process. The only reason I haven't done something about it yet is because there is no solid evidence against him. If you plan to keep your eye on him, that's all the better."
"I cant say that I know any more than you do about these stones. But I promise that I will find out what this is supposed to be and who is building it before too much longer. Some have said it is the work of these mysterious disappearing dwarves, but I haven't seen one of their kind in town for many days. If they come in by night, I will know about it this time."

Lets a good deal of that go for now...
At night you say? So you think these dwarves are moving about while people sleep? That is disconcerting... You sound confident though, which is comforting to hear. Do you have some trap set or are you just performing reconocence for now? Any idea where they may be getting the stones? That might lend some clues.

”It doesn’t take a northman to spot the tracks leading in here from the trail. They must come at night, if nobody has spotted them yet. And they must be bringing the stones in from somewhere out there in the jungle.”
“I will be here tonight, all night, if I must. And if they show up, I will watch them. I want to know what they are constructing here on the outskirts of our territory.”

Re: It's Good To Bee Liam
Liam nods a little at this. Well, you certainly have no problems with stealth. I wish you much luck with this. In the meantime, do you suppose we could appoint a runner to keep you company for now? Someone that could get a message back quickly if you needed help?

Glansandi nods at the humans words.
"Liam, we are less than 100 yards from town. If I need any help, I will simply shout."
"I do appreciate your concern, though."

He nods. Of course. I am at your service, as always. In the meantime, do you recommend anywhere we may find some stone to use for building? I want to make sure I do things legal of course.

“Building stone? No, I can’t help you there. All I’ve seen here so far is sand and jungle.”
“Depending on what is happening around here, these stones might be available soon enough.”

Nods. Fair enough! Come Joe. Let's see if we can find a nice stand of bamboo. I have another trick up my sleeve for our foundation that just might work.

Joe nods and follows, happy to get away from the leering eyes of the stern elf.
There are patches of bamboo all over the place here. It will not be hard to find and harvest as much as you need.
