The Fiery Lug plan would at least force a morale check at a penalty, I'd expect. Of course, if the wolves succeed on the morale check, it would be nice to have some backup firepower along with Lug.

Back up and take cover, folks. Bremen takes aim and fires once a torch has been lit and everyone else is back in the room, out of harm's way.
Ballista [1d20+2] = 8+2 = 10, dmg [3d6] = 12
Bremen and Stantz, who have supplied all the torches so far, are out. Can someone else please mark one off?

Boring as it was, it was worth watching until 1:30 just to see how much planning Leroy nullified.

I was thinking I was close against AC17. Oh well.
Seeing the ballista bolt sink into the ceiling a few feet off target, Bremen sighs and calls folks back. We could just wheel the carts out in front and use them as cover until the wargs get close enough for attacking. The ballistae won't be much help out there, I figure.
If that is ok with the others, Bremen grabs his crossbow and prepares to follow the carts into the hallway.

Clouson and Stantz push the two carts forward into the hallway, the ballistae left behind in the dining room. The carts are large enough to provide cover (Full cover to the non-attacking pusher, -4 . AC to two others, -2 AC to four others. Establish marching order.), but not enough to block off the wide hallway completely.
The hallway is pitch-black beyond the light that spills from Piers' torch, granting similar concealment to the goblins that you believe await there (-4 darkness penalties to your roll). Baxtaw peers over the carts with his elven vision, seeing the goblins have retreated beyond his sight (further than 60') but he discerns movement not much further away, revealing they're still there...
The party members realize that they can either carry their large sacks full of gold OR wield their weapons, but not both. More choices must be made...

Lug drops his loot—never worry about loot when there's things trying to kill you, he's pretty sure he heard somebody say at some point—then ducks behind a cart and fires an arrow into the darkness with his Boring Ordinary Bow. Just to keep the goblins honest, you know.
