Delsenora
Thinking fast on her feet, Delsenora tries to kick the Orc right between the legs!
Kick attack [1d20] = 14
OOC : Hit? And don't know damage if successful

Elanriel
Elanriel continues her wild assault on the Orc, trying to defend herself and Delsenora.
Long Sword 1w fighting: [1d20+2] = 2+2 = 4 to hit, damage: [1d8+2] = 7+2 = 9
Her determined swings are no nearer to finding their target but at least she seems to be distracting their adversaries by adding to the confusion. She fears she may be totally useless but she likes to think that her actions are of some small benefit at least.

Weston continues to hang back, offering up healing to anyone that wishes it.
Re: Chapter 1: King's Festival - And so it begins...
I'm sure Egon's 11 dmg hit is enough to deal with the bugbear, so I'm going with healing instead. Looking at the character sheets, only Elanriel and Urtesi are badly wounded?
Urtesi staggers back from the combat, leaving the bugbear and the orc to be hacked, groin kicked and stabbed by his comrades in arms. He utters a prayer of healing to Angharradh:
CLW on Urtesi [1d8] = 1
Will heal Elanriel next, not posting the roll since the combat is not officially over yet.

Battle Over: Bugbear & Orc
foregoing my typical battle summary post.
The group makes fast work of the barely living foes and both the orc and bugbear are now dead and defeated. Again looking around the room you see that this room differs from others you have seen it is large and fairly clean, with wolf-fur bedding at the far end, a table of cleaned and polished weapons, a small chest, and even a large earthenware bowl with an urn of water by it. Among the small pile of weapons is a dagger with a jeweled hilt, the bugbear has a scimitar, and a silver ring with a white moonstone, it looks like a valuable ring, the bugbear also has a leather pouch, the orc has a short sword. The rest of the weapons are more short swords and daggers but none that look overly remarkable other than that they are well polished and in better shape than most you have already found.

With the battle over, Urtesi spends some time questioning Elanriel about her injuries and finally praying for healing. However, Angharradh seems to continue to show only marginal interest in providing relief to the party, possibly considering the whole expedition unwise.
CLW on Elanriel [1d8] = 3
"So where is the priest? We have been in every room and yet there is no sign of him! How can these damned humanoids be so clever at hiding him," he demands in annoyance, addressing everyone and noone in particular.

Re: Chapter 1: King's Festival - And so it begins...
Weston enters the room and looks around
"Does anybody require healing? I have a spell available. Also, is it worth me using my spell of detecting magic here, or perhaps just gather up anything of interest and save it for later?"

Egon
"I say use the detect magic since you have it. I am only slightly injured, not sure of everyone else. Once we have decided if anything is magic we need to go through the secret door, I will go first if no one objects."

Weston nods and casts Detect Magic.
He scans the room for magic, paying particular attention to the chest, weapons and ring.

After scanning around the room, Weston turns to the group
The jewelled dagger and moonstone ring are emitting magic. Is there anything else we have collected you would like me to examine while I have the spell available? It should last a good 20 minutes"

Haribal and the ferrets come out of the room and to where the group is the ferrets rush off to their new "master" the halfling stands in the doorway and jaw drops open "Wow a bugbear. Damn you guys are good." he praises.

Re: Chapter 1: King's Festival - And so it begins...
Urtesi observes Weston's spellcasting with interest. As a follower of Azuth, no doubt the young man must be an expert in magical creations, as this is the domain of wizards. Upon hearing the results, he exclaims, "Bah! These cowardly orcs must have stolen these items, there is no way that they are capable of creating such things of beauty and power themselves."
"Weston, how about we go to the store room? We took several pieces of jewelry and other things there, perhaps more stolen treasures? It's only a few hundred feet back and I have the key we used to lock the chest with."
