Sure, like a circle cut above your left brow. Something on your face.

I am lost in the current situation. I do not know what to do.

Gotcha... then it's time to inject some action.

drpete,

looking at the summary you just posted in the game thread, is Shmehk's (and Raamiz's) luck correct?

From the previous interlude:
drpete wrote:Ok. It's been 4 days (1. Shmehk carousing, 2. Shmehk examining the key, 3. Shmehk searching for rumors, 4. Shmehk looking at the papers), so you are both at full hp, Shmehk is at 12 luck (from gaining 2 by carousing) and Raamiz has regained 4 of his luck points (due to time) to be at 14 luck.

If this is right, we'll move on to investigating this house...

Sorry, Shaidar, I'm not sure how I got that 12. Obviously, you were down to 6, and went up 2. I've tossed you a fleeting luck, too.

I don't like how the group dynamic has started here: I really prefer a simple cohesive identity from the get-go. I'm going to take Asle out of the game. I just feel like I've painted myself into a corner and won't be able to get out without getting messy.
Thanks for the help with character creation.

Good luck and have fun!

Alright, well, thank you for giving it a try!

(Technically, this is a design feature of dcc lankhmar called "the meet")

This said, by no means do I think your situation is hopeless. This character is very wil tied into the group, and should be up on his feet in a few seconds...?

I did not know it was a design feature. That is interesting. It emulates, of course, Fafhrd's and the Mouser's meeting: wherein they both were in the same place at the same time for the same reason. I do prefer skipping past the introductions, but don't want to discredit this method. I mean, it's clearly an intentional design working towards a specific goal. I just don't like what I've done, character-wise, and am gonna head off. Cheers.

I hope you reconsider. I looked forward to working out our twin story. :)

This is exhibit number one on why I hate creating elaborate backstory links during character creation. I'm sorry, Marullus.

I'm debating whether to npc the character or kill him and just drop that aspect.

In the meantime, please welcome Sapperzz!

Sapperzz is going to create his own character, rather than take over Asle, but it should still be fairly easy to integrate him :)

Respect to Trinculo for being forward. Far better to adjust things than to just ghosting out.

If Trinculo is out, I am fine without the twin thing (it was his roll). I'm also fine if you make someone else a twin with me to keep it going.

You are 100% right, Marullus. I definitely appreciate that, I'm just disappointed, since the twin thing did seem cool.

That said, I did pick up a strong feeling from a stint in the story game world that the story should be what happens in the game, rather than something you write before playing the game.

Hello.

Your character and mine cannot communicate, even though he just spoke to you.

Perhaps I can have my character buy some language lessons with his spoils between adventures...

Marullus wanted me to let everyone know that his work firewall seems to be suddenly blocking Unseen Portal, so nobody was waiting on him to post before probably 6pm EST today (I told him to use his phone).

We can do that :)

Also, I'm going to give you "chances" to raise stats when you level up, despite it not really being part of dcc. When your int goes up, you can "learn" low lankmarese.

For now, maybe put your dialog in spoiler tags? :)
