Elanriel
The bugbear's powerful swing cuts deep into Elanriel's side. She staggers, feeling light-headed, and does her best to counter but her thrusts are flailing and go wide.
Long Sword 1w fighting: [1d20+2] = 5+2 = 7 to hit, damage: [1d8+2] = 6+2 = 8

Delsenora
Seeing Elanriel in trouble, the dark elf stows her bow and takes out her Short Sword. Offering up a prayer to Eilistraee
for success, she rushes back into the room! "Elanriel, retreat, I will take your place,".
If she can , Delsenora will cast Dancing Lights at the Bugbear if the Light spell is uneffective.

Talrand raises his hands up empty to Elanriel, "Sorry!" He'll try to scramble over the table next to the sleeping orc so that he can get a better line of sight.

Urtesi
"AAargh!" the elf screams out in pain, as the bugbear retaliates. He pulls his longsword and attacks.
Long sword vs L: to hit [1d20+1] = 7+1 = 8, damage [1d12] = 5
I just realized bugbears are large. So use you L damage dice guys.

Re: Chapter 1: King's Festival - And so it begins...
Elanriel
Elanriel feels deeply moved that Delsenora is so ready to throw herself in harm's way to protect her. The Drow really is a true friend. Yet, despite her wound, Elanriel is reluctant to let it happen. She feels she should be capable of fending off the monster herself and is it not her duty to protect Delsenora also? What would she do if her best (only real) friend were to be badly injured or killed as a result of that decision. After a moment's hesitation, Elanriel stands firm and swings at the Bugbear again. The choice is perhaps somewhat ill-considered however, as the tight space and jostling gets in the way of both their attacks and makes it difficult to strike true.
Long Sword 1w fighting vs Large: [1d20+2] = 7+2 = 9 to hit, damage: [1d12+2] = 9+2 = 11
ooc: I don't know the rules for hitting someone who is blinded but I reckon this is a rubbish enough roll that it''s probably a miss anyway

Elanriel
With the Bugbear blinded and Delsenora endeavouring to put it to sleep, Elanriel decides to switch her attention to the Orc. She swings fiercely and determinedly but to her disappointment doesn't even come close to making contact. She had thought herself relatively proficient with her blades but her recent experiences have really made her start to wonder if that's the case. It seems like she had seriously overestimated her own capabilities.
Long Sword 1w fighting: [1d20+2] = 2+2 = 4 to hit, damage: [1d8+2] = 3+2 = 5
Long Sword 1w fighting: [1d20+2] = 7+2 = 9 to hit, damage: [1d8+2] = 5+2 = 7
ooc: By the gods my rolling has been rubbish!
