Anyone who wants to purchase anything before they leave should do it now, if you need a price just ask. Olokand is a major town and trade center so we can assume they have whatever you can afford. Once you head out it will become very difficult to buy much of anything other than basic farm/inn goods. Loban manor has a population of 108 and 1 inn that caters to travelers on the Fur Road (mostly trappers and traders). Autumn is coming to a close so travelers are becoming increasingly rare.

How are you envisioning the "lackeys"? Are they just another extension/personality for us to run or something independent that we interact with?

An extension for you to run. If you want to keep them close that is fine or run them off on their own, also fine.

Sorry I haven't been my "typical self" the last week had some news that my grandmother passed away on the 12th (via text message @ 6am) my head hasn't entirely been right but she was 96 and lived a good long life. So at any rate that is my explaining my lack of posting enthusiasm as of late.

I replied to this in another thread but obviously take whatever time you need Ed, the game can wait.

If the party is invited to the manor then I'd like Ingvar to stay behind at the tavern. Talk to some people, maybe take a little walk to look around. Basically investigate a bit in parallel, because I think Sir Kathel is the main person to talk to right now anyway, but we have enough people in the party who can handle that already :)

Edited to add: will hand over the introductory letter to Valdaen/party as needed.

I agree. It would be best to sort out the rooms and have a drink while waiting for word to come back from the manor. While splitting the party is normally not a good thing, this seems like a likely time to do it to get some good info. Rodbert would go to the manor but leave Earnest behind to keep an eye on the stock and talk to others as it comes up.

Sounds like a plan, Humfrey and Baldwin will accompany Rodbert to the manor.

Since I just dumped some new info on you I will allow you to ask questions before I move it along to the manor. Correct me if I am wrong but Rodbert, Humfrey and Baldwin are going to the manor. Earnest will stay at the inn and watch over everything. Ingvar and Sheamus will remain and try to question some locals (none currently at the inn other than the Ostler).

Well, that was rather fun with Ernest. Good to see what fun you'll let us have. :-)

Have at it, the whole point of the game is to have fun. I thought it was an excellent idea and certainly its his former occupation.

True and, to some degree, Rodbert may allow his apprentice a bit of latitude in things. Especially if it helps sell more product.

I have many questions left and I think two places to look at - the riverbank and the place the tunic was found. I didn't post any of it just yet since it might depend on who of the family shows up and what they say (for example, "Get the hell out of my yard" )

Nice! If he's not going to listen to this he was probably a lost cause to begin with :)

Finally got my Journeymanne book 8-) The format (in softcover) is larger than expected, which is actually good because it makes the text easy to read. I also got another retro game in the same shipment and in comparison, BlueHolme just looks better simply because the fonts, titles, tables etc are easier on the eye.

I like the cover, it introduces the book in a not-too-serious way. At least I do not look at the characters there as mighty heroes, destined to save the world, but as poor losers who are likely to get killed or maimed very, very soon. Kind of refreshing, compared to the dramatic art of some mainstream products. One thing I missed is the art that was in the Prentice rules. I guess it's just personal and I do appreciate that the new illustrations are more relevant to the actual game.

I'm not going to comment on the actual content as everybody knows what it's all about anyway. I guess in this game it is going to be more useful to spellcasters, as we fighters are just going to add +1-s to our damage die. Well, not any time soon, but... hopefully :)
