Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)
Galanthas listens to Wes' exposition with interest and, despite Ren's intervention, he says "Hm... I don't know. I was actually going to say that that little island is exactly what was calling my attention more than anything else. Now that you say that, Ren, maybe is too dangerous a place to go... But even with that I find the place intriguing..."
Turning back to Wes, he goes on"My second option would be the jungle to the west though. Invisible pipes! That sounds interesting. We could also ask the villagers what were those children rescued from. Maybe they know something. We can always hunt something over there."

Wes
The druid takes another drink of grog, coughs a few times then continues the discussion. "There is one other option. Earlier this evening, Mr Nehru at the Hi-Lo told me he'd seen a dragon down by the river a while ago. I don't know what to think of his story. I don't think he saw a dragon. But I do think he saw something quite dangerous. And whatever it is could be a future threat to the town".
"There's the matter of the creepy land across the river. That could be the domain or hunting territory of this creature. We could go on a scouting trip to learn what this creature is. Not to fight it, just to learn what it is".

Galanthas raises an eyebrow as he hears what Wes is saying "A dragon? It'd really surpise if we find such a thing just wandering so close to the town. I'm in for this scouting trip. If the beast was so close, this is something more 'urgent' than anything else."
He finishes his grog with a gulp. "Well, gentlemen. Are we off then?"

Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)

I think most adventurers must have been raging alcoholics.
Since you're in town right now, it can be any time that you want it to be.
Once you've decided on exactly what you want to do, just say the word and I will get another mission thread set up for you.
Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)

If we're going dragon hunting, it'll have to be the morning after healing the sick so he can get his third level spells back. Which gives him time to do some other stuff...

Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)
No worries. Just tell me when you're done with the other tasks you have at hand and we move to the nes quest!
Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)
"It does seem that this beast might be the most urgent matter. There's no telling when it might show up here at the town. Forewarned is forearmed as they say".
If this is the decision of the group, Wes will (eventually) leave the tavern and return to his shack. In the morning he will spend his time healing the sick, growing the vegetable garden and carving the tree. The following day he will be ready to go on the expedition.

Galanthas also goes to his shack at the end of the day and rests for the 'dragon hunt' next day, thinking on all the action to come!

Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)
That will mean the dragon hunting mission is leaving town on the morning of the 7th. (correct me if that is wrong)
Once I get the go ahead, I will start up your new thread. Stumpy and Ren still seem willing to accompany you......so far. They really think Wes is a cool guy.
Feel free to do anything else you would like to do here before leaving town. Everyone except Wes will have one full day to do their business.

Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)
We can already start the quest as far as I'm concerned

Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)
Greff
The ranger enters the treehouse with a proud smile on his face. "Randall my friend a mug of the good stuff if you don't mind!"
Greff wouldn't mind joining in on another hunt if there's still time to join.

Bonnie
Let's say this is mid-afternoon on the day the dwarves landed, the 8th.
Bonnie climbs the ladder to the tavern, looking for someone to watch her ass on the map-making trip. She waves to the ever-present Randall. "Heya Randall. How's things?"
She looks around for the large angry gentleman she met earlier, Hrothgar.

Randall looks at the elf strangely, as if he has never seen her before.
"Yesa! All fruit ripe fi Randall! How's tings witch you?"
The massive human named Hrothgar is there, sitting at the bar boards all alone. He looks at Bonnie when she enters, recognizing her as the pretty elf he yelled at earlier.
"Heya toots! If yer still looking fer someone ta watch yer ass, I think I might be yer man! Care fer a drink first?"
Two other filthy looking men look up from their cups long enough to check out the ass in question, but then quickly go back to their drinking.

Bonnie
Bonnie raises an eyebrow at Randall. "Good I guess. I'm just looking for...ah...there he is. Excuse me." She sits down in the shadow of the large man.
"Glad to see you again, Hrothgar. I am still interested in someone watching my ass, as it so happens. Hopefully, you pay more attention than those guys." She nods to the corner. "And yes. I could use a drink. You buying?" She smiles and stares up at him.
"Nothing too serious, should be an easy walk on the trail. That farmer, Liam, has some map making gear and I'd like to try it out. You'd be there to provide security. Or who knows, maybe you can draw the map."

Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)
Hrothgar roars with laughter.
"Well, if I'm working for you now, I suppose you should buy. I've never been much of a mapper, but I can read and write."
The huge human calls Randall over again to fill his mug, and another.
"I don't care how many people go along, but I take half of any spoils we find. That's my price, and it aint up for negotiations. I will prove my worth to you in our first fight. You will see."
The northern barbarian slams the remainder of his grog without a wince.
"If that's acceptable to you, I am ready to go whenever you say its time."

Bonnie
She laughs with Hrothgar. "Sounds about right. Besides, if we need to renegotiate I can leave your body by the side of the trail." She winks at the giant in a playful manner.
"But seriously. I plan to leave first thing tomorrow. Bring camping gear. We're bringing some civilians with us and I'm not sure how fast they can go."
She stands, coming to his ribs, and starts to leave. "Glad to do business with you. I'm sure you'll find working for me enjoyable."
She pays for his two drinks, nods at Randall and heads down the ladder.

Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)
Sorry man! I misread your post to say Raythan and not Randall, so I told you to post this in the wrong place.
"Yesa! Randall haf herd of ya, Liam Meadstaff. Me got juss watcha need sir! Some good ole grog should do da trick!"
The barkeep pours some of the thick liquid into a mug and passes it over.
"You been ere wa? Tree week? Why you no come visit Randall sooner, huh? You no like high places?"

Randall looks the stranger in his tavern up and down.Bluehorse wrote:Before heading to meet Bonnie and Big'Un at the trailhead, Liam will make a stop at the Treehouse to see Randall.
Once inside he will look around and smile politely to anyone there, including Randall himself. He will walk forward and introduce himself. Hello, sir. I am Liam Meadstaff. Long overdue to come and pay a visit here. I would like to order a good luck drink before I depart for a short expedition if you please.

Liam
Just laughs. Some would say that... I just never seemed to have a free moment to make it up. Looks like I have some good help in place now. Thank you sir.... He puts the silver on the bartop with a smile and holds up the drink in salute before taking a drink. I am working on getting my bees established so I can begin harvesting honey. Once That is started I would like to start sending some around, here included. Of course... I have a feeling you would be more interested in the longer term goods. What do you know about mead?
