Expedition: Neegan - Orb Quest - 19 August 2021

Neegan leads a group of willing adventurers east, intending to find the secret Spiral Vault of the ancient dwarves and deposit the Orb of Endless Suffering into it for safe-keeping.

Galmit "Don't anyone worry 'bout food I stocked up on rations 'fore we left town." the dwarf informs.

"Enough for everybody? says Tollander, raising an eyebrow at Galmit's assertion.

"If we are good for food", he continues, "then what else do we need before we go? If we're facing undead, then I have enough money to buy three vials of Holy Water from the temple. We'll need that for sure."

"And this beast here is Normal, my mule."

So what sort of supplies will we need for this trip?

Galmit "Well I got a good 21 days worth so we'll see." the dwarf replies to Tollander.

There's no calcs for a new PC. Only after your first expedition.

It occurs to me that we'll probably need a couple of guys to guard the mule. Tollander has a CHA of 7. Is anybody else in the group more persuasive?.

Don't count on me. I have poor Charaism (8) and 0 rations. Probably should have bought some before I left town...

There might still be time to get your rations. I think there's usually a bit of space at the beginning of each expedition to do last minute stuff. And 8 is still better than 7 .

Any advance on 8?

Galmit has 10 CHA if that helps the situation any.

You have time to handle anything you wish. You will set out as soon as Neegan gives word.

Neegan - you are "leading east." Are you beginning from Frogmorton Ford directly, or are you petitioning the White Tower for protective escort (per your conversation with the ArchDuke.)

The two things Tollander needs to do before we leave are buy Holy Water and hire some mule guards. Once I know how much is in a flask, he can buy one or two and then he'll know how much money he has for guards and their supplies.

Like I said, whoever has the best Cha should do the hiring. I don't think we're allowed to form a "conga line of employers" until we get a good roll.

Tollander calls out to Neegan. "Hey Neegan! How far away is this place? How much traveling are we looking at?"

Neegan- Pulls 15pp from his coin purse. Hands it to Galmit. We must get outside these gates immediately. Galmit & Tollander please purchase supplies. (2wks rations, Holy Water) with the coin I just gave you. We shall be waiting outside the gates. We need to head to the White Tower and request for a armed escort. We shall stay close to the wall.

Galmit "I just said I got 21 days of rations. An I already got more gear n' most could carry."

"I've already got two weeks rations" says Tollander. "But I'll certainly take some of that money and buy a few more flasks of Holy Water, since we're likely going to be plagued with undead, from what I've heard if that ..... thing". Tollander decides not use the word Orb, whilst they are still within the town.

"I'm also going to go see if I can hire a couple of men to guard the mule, in case we have problems getting an escort at the White Tower. If I can find some, I'll pay them myself, but I'll use that money to pick up some rations for them. I reckon 3 flasks and 2 weeks rations for two men should come to ....9 platinum. That sound reasonable?".

"Galmit, can I trouble you for some of those coins" asks Tollander.

Assuming everybody agrees with his math, and his plans, Tollander will do a quick trip to the temple, the store and the mercenary camp.

Tollander returns, introducing Billy, their new mule guard, to the group. He also hands out three flasks of Holy Water to the group and returns the balance of Neegan's money to Galmit.
