Egon

Whispering. "OK, I will open the door and stand back so you two can cast Darkness and Sleep, then once the Darkness goes down I will charge in."

Weston listens to the suggested change in plan and nods "I think that is a better idea, I shall stay back and support as I can"

Delsenora nods at everyone. Putting her hand to the door handle, she tests it first to see if is locked. If is isn't she will turn the

handle as slowly as is possible so as not to alert the Orcs inside the room.

Xlore will position himself on the side of the door to backstab any orcs that stumble out of the door. I will be ready for any that come out the door.

Orcs are Drunks

Upon opening the door the singing, jeering & shouting gets louder and the smell of orc alcoho and sweat hits your noses. This room smells terrible. The reek of stale beer, sweat, and foul pipeweed smoke fills the air. Only a few stools, a table with cards and dice, some littered kegs, firkins, and utensils decorate it, but there is a sizable group of orcs here and they are not too drunk to fight! There are seven (7) orcs total in the room. The adventuring party surprises the drunken orcs!

Basically you all get one free round of action before the orcs can even fight back.

Delsenora

Concentrating, she summons the power of her dark elf heritage and casts Darkness, centering the spell on the Orcs around the table!

Egon

If there is an orc within reach he will attack it. If not he will focus on where the closest one is in case he has to fight in the darkness and wait for the sleep spell to be cast, then go in.

Axe [1d20+2] = 13+2 = 15 to hit [1d8+3] = 6+3 = 9 damage

Delsenora

Once the Orcs begin freaking out and bustling inside, Del will raise her hand. Looking back with a nod, she lowers her hand, and ends

her Darkness spell. She steps out of the way of those wanting to cast or enter the room.

Elanriel

Elanriel hangs at the back and keeps an eye out to the south and east. She is ready to step in should things go badly or any of the Orcs make it out of the room but, having heard the plan, she is expecting not to be needed.

Drunk Orc 1 "Ey! Who turned da lights out Grog?"

Drunk Orc 2 "Weren't me! You sure your eyes not closed?"

Stumbling sounds....

Drunk Orc 3 "Me think Zguk do it to cheat at bones."

drunk laughter....more stumbling...

Drunk Orc 4 "Eh just light a torch an we can see. Hey don't touch my coins!"

stumbling sounds again....sound of chair being upended

sound of someone bumping into the table

Drunk Orc 5 "Ouch dammit da table hurt." sound of something being thrown across the room.

Two drunk orcs stumble toward the door and once out of the darkness see the adventurers puzzled looks then reaching for their swords you hear one say "Hey we gots intudders get em boys!"

Talrand produces a pinch of sand from his robe, muttering an incantation he finishes by blowing the sand out between his fingers and centering the the spell on the orc's table!

Weston is going to hang back in a support roll for now, and also keep an eye out down the other passageway, just in case.

Xlore steps in to make a second attack. But with the tight quarters he is unsuccessful.

L. Swordtohit[1d20+3] = 5+3 = 8todam[1d8+2] = 6+2 = 8

Egon

Egon steps up and attacks the Orc that is still up.

Battle Axe [1d20+2] = 18+2 = 20 to hit [1d8+3] = 8+3 = 11 damage

The die roller seems to work well for Egon but all my other characters couldn't roll to save their lives.

Just for the sake of argument to see if the last fighting orc gets a chance to attack back before dying...
Initiative PCs [1d10] = 1 NPCs [1d10] = 8
PC's get initiative in round 2 Talrand & Egon both hit the combined damage kill the last orc not asleep or dead. There now I mage it official ;)
