Are you saying you enjoy that we all get along? Hmm well we should change that then

Don't make us distract Sky again with magical dots.

For me, someone who is very much still trying to learn the rules of 5e as we go, the dialog is really helpful for me as well.Monsieur Rose wrote:I'd also like to say that I appreciate the conversation here about the game. It's great to see a collaborative effort. Even if I don't contribute much, it's nice to see.
Plus, it's always nice, as a DM, when the players are contributing (both in the action threads (obviously), but also the 'ooc' chatter) as it's proof of investment in the game -- which is what I'm striving for.

Re: OOC I
I am working on the next update now, and I am debating how to proceed, but I am leaning towards fast-fowarding quite a bit and getting the group back to the dungeon as quickly as possible. Actually, that is probably what I will do.
If there is anything you want your character to do in town before returning, just let me know. Feel free to do so here, or in your private forum (in which, I will probably add a new topic or two). I'm not planning on the layover being long enough for formal downtime activities, but there will be plenty of time to seek out rumors, purchase equipment (assume Kerowyn Hucrele will have anything valued up to 50 gold pieces available at this time), etc...
In the next update I will request that the group agree upon treasure distribution (noting that the four spells are each on their own scrolls). Please have those discussions here.

Re: OOC I
For hit points at the new level, are we able to change our method at future levels? If I roll for second and roll poorly, do I have the option of taking the average at third level?
On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Re: OOC I
I think that Sky should get the Cure Wounds scroll, as the only non-cleric in the group that can use it. That way, we have another healing option if the cleric goes down. Sky can figure out what the other items are overnight, and we can determine what to do with everything else at that point.

Re: OOC I
I'm going to write up a little story how Hargrem joins up with the party. He's a bit of a shifty cleric who wants so hard to do good, but sometimes he gets in his own way. And he likes the bottle maybe a little too much. I am all up for fastforwarding back to the room with two doors.dmw71 wrote:I am working on the next update now, and I am debating how to proceed, but I am leaning towards fast-fowarding quite a bit and getting the group back to the dungeon as quickly as possible. Nice. I just realized that, while I mentioned Auborn leaving the group, I didn't touch on Hargrem actually joining it.Shaede wrote:I'm going to write up a little story how Hargrem joins up with the party. This couldn't have gone any better. Klilxuac is all done advancing to 2nd Level now.dmw71 wrote:Sure.Scott308 wrote:For hit points at the new level, are we able to change our method at future levels? If I roll for second and roll poorly, do I have the option of taking the average at third level?
HP for 2nd Level: [1d6+1] = 6+1 = 7

Re: OOC I
I don't think I have anything I need to do in the town other than perhaps replenish any rations used.

Re: OOC I
I'm good with taking the cure wounds scroll.
Treasure:
220s
50g
Two silver rings (15 gp each); a silver amulet (15 gp); an ornate, ceremonial dagger (125 gp)
Scrolls:
Command
Cure Wounds (2nd level)--Sky
Inflict Wounds (2nd level)
Guiding Bolt (2nd level)
I suggest we give the other cleric scrolls to our new friend, as a bribe of sorts. As for the cash and goods, maybe we just split 6 ways? One share for each member who made it back, and a group pool to pay for shared expenses? I'm including Farador right now, but we could not include him.
Split 6 ways: ~36s, 36g
Split 5 ways: 44s, 44g
Split 4 ways: 55s, 55g

Re: OOC I
I like the idea of the 6 way split. Farador adventured with us, so as characters I don't think anyone would have denied him a share- especially since he kept the party from being slaughtered. As a player, I don't want to use OOC knowledge to deny an equal split for everyone involved. Now, if he was trying to claim magic, all bets would be off.

Re: OOC I
6 way split works for me as mentioned Farador did save our butts.

Re: OOC I
Thank you for putting this together. How you guys decide to split your treasure is up to you, just please make sure your character sheets are updated with what you're actually carrying (e.g. If you split the coins six ways, someone will need to carry the extra group pool portion).Monsieur Rose wrote:Treasure:
