Storm watches the half-orcs go and shakes his little head. Well I am off to see his Nehru character. If anyone knows about what’s happening on this island the leader of the town should. Right? RIGHT?” He looks up at the remaining companions and then shrugs again.

Until tomorrow then he says, and with a wave sets off back to Beach town and Nehrus office.

He will rap loudly upon the door and poke his head within. Eerrr scuse me! Are you busy? I need some info and I think you are chap to give it. I hear your a damn nice fellow too. For a human. :D

Avaala the Grey

Avaala listens as all plans seem to be put off until tomorrow. He smiles at the idea and turns to Rollo. "Here that? Looks like I get to put few finishing touches on the shack today. And you get to do a whole day and night without your armor!" He and Rollo return to their shack. Avaala looks over the few improvements he has made, the door and window frames, and considers how to best connect them to a more solid frame.

The lack of building materials flummoxes him at first, but then he considers how best to use the materials he does have. Instead of tearing out the simple wooden braces, he cuts more of the same length from the dried jungle bamboo and lashes them to the original ones with vines. Whatever saps he can drain from the local trees he boils down at the cook fires and uses the thicker material to cover every lashing point and joint, to make the building braces more solid.

While he has more plans for the outer shell of the building, he realizes that working the small frame by hand will take most of the day. The couple hours he does have left will go into some simple shelves at each corner of the shack. He uses the last of the tree tar/sap to help lock the vines for them in place. He thinks these will not only give him a little more storage space, but that putting them in the corners will make the shack more sturdy.

He and Rollo take a few breaks during the day for walks and meals, but commit almost the entire day to making the shack into a small house.

IF he and Rollo run into Saracen and Maag at the Treehouse, Avaala will greet both warmly and spare out enough to buy them both a drink (grog) to toast the win they had on the Green Flash.

Jaxsen Reiter

As soon as Saracen announces that the trip has been postponed an entire day, Jax bows to everyone with a quick, "Goodbye! See you tomorrow!" and takes off at a run.

He heads straight for the water bearer station, hoping that Marge and her crew have not already head out for the day. "Good morning! I hope you weren't planning to leave without me!"

If the water crew HAS already left, Jax grabs a yoke and takes off after them at a trot. When he catches up, he jokingly says, "I know I am late, but I didn't think you'd just leave me behind!" and just takes his accustomed spot in line, between the rest of the crew and the water, not having forgotten the lessons of Ol' Scraggly.

Brother Gilbert

He will got to his shared hut to go through his pack to make sure his few belongings are in order, adding the platter to its contents. Then he will look around the village for hints of the dangers of which the voice spoke. He has only been here for a few days, and can see that the people's lives are unpleasant.

Saracen pretty much demands that the group rethink their plan to leave until tomorrow, giving everyone time to get to know each other and to go digging for more information.

As the big party is about to disband into smaller groups and head out, they spot a third adventuring type showing interest in their plans. A tiny, white skinned elf watches them as they talk, hoping she can make a subtle introduction.

We can play a little "follow the leader" with the newest players until everyone gets the feel of how "town" works. If you want to tag along with any certain group today, go ahead. Once everyone is ready, we can push things along to morning and get this adventure started!

Admittedly, I'm a little confused as to who's in what group going where. Any chance you could throw together a quick officialish roster of who's in this psuedo-party at the moment and where they're at or headed (including "hasn't decided yet", like me)?

Gwethglersinwen Larendirina

"Pardon me for listening in before introducing myself. I am Gwethglersinwen, but most people call me Gwen," she says in an unhurried tone. Her voice is surprisingly deep with a pleasantly melodic quality.

Gwen is a Grey Elf, short and thin but not frail looking. She has white skin, bright amber eyes, and silver hair worn in a bun style that suggests her hair is quite long. She wears a dull grey cloak over rather new looking leather armour, and a long sword at her left hip. Several pouches hang from her belt.

"I have just arrived and would like to join your group. I have several talents which may be useful. I must admit that I am quite inexperienced, but I will do what I can. As someone already said, there is safety in numbers."

Posting here just to get started.

Jaxsen Reiter

As Gwen introduces herself, one of the company, a young human male, poorly dressed, but with a bright demeanor, passes by. At the last moment, he stops. "Hello, Gwen. I am Jaxsen, a humble servant of Queen Bralm. It seems that whatever adventures await us in the jungle will be waiting until tomorrow. However, if it is toil in the service of this hive you seek, I am about to join the water carriers for todays journey to the river. It may not seem very exciting, but I have had adventures every time I have joined them. And it is important work. The hive absolutely depends on the water we bring back."

I understand and apologize for the confusion. I normally do keep a detailed list of possible participants in each mission, but haven't had the time to do that here. I am sure that doesn't help for the new players. (I admit that my timing on the invitation was horrible.)

I hope to get that all together before we get too much further, but not at the risk of upsetting my normally patient wife on her vacation. :D

Gwethglersinwen Larendirina

Gwen says, "Hello Jaxen, are you a cleric of Bralm?" Gwen bows her head respectfully. "As a seeker of knowledge rather than a seeker of toil, I doubt The Toiling Lady would consider me a worthy follower," she concludes with a chuckle.

"However, I am not averse to toil so I will help you with this important task, but do not complain if I slow you down! Also, I ask a lot of inane questions which most people find quite annoying. You have been warned!"

"Lead on Jaxen!"

Jaxsen Reiter

Jaxsen smiles at Gwen's recognition of Bralm's name. "No, ma'am," he says. "I am not of the priestly order. I am one of the Order of The Wasp. We go forth spreading the word of The Lady's teachings, and striving to live a life of service, showing by example how hard work and dedication makes life better for her followers. Working, defending, and in this case, bringing water to our chosen hive."

As they approach the water bearers, he finishes, "And there can be hard work in the gathering of knowledge, too. Sometimes knowledge is the thing a hive needs the most. All who contribute are beloved of Bralm. But today, this grub will gather water."

"That is Marge. She leads the water gatherers. She loves her hive, and you can see it in her every action."

"Marge, this is Gwen. She would like to help with the gathering today. If I may be so bold as to speak for her, I believe she would prefer a smaller yoke and buckets, if it can be arranged."

Brother Gilbert

He will get his pack together, and look for Sarascen, to discuss the trip to the structure.

Br. G. still hears the mysterious voice in his head, and is concerned about how much time the village has before it is attacked. He is also concerned the villagers will get weaker the longer they stay on the beach, as they have depleted all the easy local food sources. Hungry people will not be able to defend themselves very well.

Everyone except Bonnie and Keilif are all on the same day and in town right now.

Just a reminder, "town" is sorta like a time-free zone, where anyone can discuss things openly, regardless of the time of day. If you are in town, you can have dialogue with anyone else who is also there.
