Hi
Hoping to find a game or two to play in.

Welcome Griffith!
What games do you prefer?
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Welcome, Griffith. I see, as he customarily does, Alethan posted the truly helpful links for new players. You'll quickly find that this is a good community, so don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have.

Otherwise, feel free to jump right in!

I do like to do that. I wouldn't call it my "schtick" or anything. That would be like the lamest schtick in the world, right?

But it's important to get people off on the right foot.

Not the left one; the right one.

Thanks all for the warm welcome!

I like B/X D&D or Labyrinth Lord or things similar.
I like the Atlantean Trilogy (The Arcanum, Lexicon, and Bestiary) by Michael Sechi.
I like Mutant Future.
If I eventually host a game, it will probably be the Atlantean Trilogy (if I can find enough players) or a Mutant Future game using the Thundarr supplement from The Savage AfterWorld.

Never heard about the Atlantean trilogy before. Is it an obscure RPG?

I just got those Atlantean PDFs so I don't know too much about that. But the Thundarr stuff is legendary. Can't wait to see that if you run that game.
Good luck and welcome again!

Somewhat. Stephen Michael Sechi is the creator of Talislanta. Before that he created the Atlantean Trilogy. I would guess that most people that know of the system have The Arcanum and are using it as a supplement to their AD&D game.

This looks very interesting. I love the cover art, there was such cool art in the 80's. And it's from Bard Games the same company that did the "Compleat" line of books.

Count me up as interested in an Arcanum game. :)

I wonder what my own neck of the woods looks like during the Atlantean Age?

Welcome to the boards!
The Atlantis/Arcanum books look really good - on eBay they are pretty high in price. I remember them back in the early days of perusing gaming stores and materials.

Hi! Me again :D
It's been awhile. I might try to find a game to join. Or maybe host one of my own. Since last I was here, I've discovered DCC RPG, so maybe something with that system... We'll see.
