I used Thieves Cant. No one else realised we were even communicating.

OM: How do you handle "alignment languages"? Are they actual languages, hand signals / gestures, some words, but not complete languages, or ?

I don't think anyone has ever asked me that before. :D

I have always assumed that alignment tongues were more like a few words, phrases, and gestures, but not actually full languages. Only very basic communication would be possible using it.

It's sort of like a "s'up" nod, you know? Acknowledgement of a shared background, but no substantial conversation of any kind.

It's time for the annual notice: starting tomorrow (Thursday) through Sunday I'll be at GaryCon 8-) . This will for sure mean less posting, and possibly no posting (last year I had big problems with wi-fi). I'll be back on track Sunday evening, though. Don't let Sprig drown, please. :)

Yep, sorry bout that.

I was hoping nobody would get too attached to them.

There are 7 gnomes in total. (not counting Sprig) They are dressed in leather armor and armed with shortswords, mostly. They each have a small patch on the backs of their jerkins that says, "Garls Gatherers" in bright red letters.

OM:
How many people could fit in the lifeboat? Not sure how big this thing is.

How much weight can I levitate with my boots?
Just checked & is a D20 to determine weight - should I roll or do you want to do?

The lifeboat can hold 8 persons max. (10 if they were all small)

Yes, please make the weight allowance roll for the boots if you'd like.

Boots weight [1d20] = 8
More complex macro didn't work, so just did the variable 1-20 which gives:
8*14+280 = 392 lbs

We are getting real close to kick-off for this one.

There are a few things I have noticed from the sheets that need a bit of sorting before we get there. Please have a look.

I have added a few house rules and posting tips to the first page of this thread. Please read them over when you get a chance.

See I read the updated house rules before I read the new posts and a feeling of dread took over. I was 99% certain we'd be making a strength check and well...I think we all knew I wasn't going to make mine.

I find the image this evokes both ridiculous and delightful. :)
