Re: (009) Alcabra Adventure
Sigrun drops back and looks for any of the crowd who stop when the party does so. If nothing suspicious or unusual catches her eye then she proceeds inside with John Lee.
Re: (009) Alcabra Adventure
The party walks into the maze of narrow streets and alleys. None of them have ever been directly involved in running a Free Trader, but this is the perfect image of an open trading port with goods from multiple ships and independent traders displayed for sale on tables and benches along the lanes.
A number of systems implement a policy of waiving all import tariffs on goods displayed for sale in bazaars like this one. Generally, if the goods aren't sold within a certain time frame they can then be withdrawn and sold through local import brokers. Big lines often pay the, by Imperial law, low tariffs rather than spend the day or two of open display. For independent traders, though, displaying their goods usually gets them about as good a price as they would get by going through a local firm. In fact, the local Import firms are big buyers at local bazaars and with cash sales and only a simple form to file with the authorities both buyers and sellers end up making more money than any other way.
You see men and women in ship uniforms also prowling the tables looking to speculate on displayed goods for shipment and sale elsewhere. Although, most of the buyers and sellers are human there are a few Vagr moving in small packs through the crowds and you also see a trio of K'kree who seem to be interested in some wares at a table piled high with bolts of fabric.
Moving into a narrow street you pass a shop front that is boarded up. It looks like something crashed into it recently and it hasn't been repaired. Beyond that shop you see a shop with Sawhuffa Tailor painted on it.
Inside the shop a bug like creature, a Laska, chitters and words come from the small box he is wearing on a belt. The box translates his chittering language into Anglic as, "Ah, humans. I remember you! I greet you with shivering happiness."
"How can this poor laska serve you today?"

Re: (009) Alcabra Adventure
Sigrun instinctively scans the Vargr packs for any “colours” that she knows (specifically Kforuzeng) and also their alphas for any individuals that she might recognise. (Their presence would be as unlikely as her own on Regina but they might be here covertly as "traders").
Once inside the shop she leaves John Lee to make his own arrangements regarding his skinsuit.
She looks on the Laska for a moment and then nods neutral acknowledgement before opening with “Godden dag, I am Sigrun Volsung, warrior and friend of these humans you remember. I seek traders from the Sword Worlds and military arms dealers within this market. I would appreciate directions to find them while my friends place their orders with you”.
Clearly Sawhuffa can only guide Sigrun to established “shops”. She will check the Alcabra’s data sites for a listing of any temporary stalls that may meet her needs. With the party settled at the tailors and needing to spend time there for both browsing and fitting of skinsuits she will attend to her own errands.

Re: (009) Alcabra Adventure
Pedro smiles broadly "Sawhuffa, very good to meet you again. I've also come to order a skinsuit as I'm not nearly as skint as I was last time I was here. Our chance visit to your shop has ended in good fortune for all around."
Re: (009) Alcabra Adventure
Edwardo also speaks. "I too would like for you to prepare a skinsuit for me as well. I would also like to request a 'volume discount' as well. With so many to make, it will allow for some savings on your material procurment."
Re: (009) Alcabra Adventure
"I am also in the market for a skinsuit, my companions have given me a most excellent recommendation of you."
Re: (009) Alcabra Adventure
Sigrun announces “While you are all getting fitted out I’m going to make sure we can defend our ship - and ourselves if we do another job like the last. I expect Kapiten Ito will have laid in the basic weapons every boarding party expects to deal with” she grins wolfishly “so I’m going to buy the ones they won’t! I'll also try to buy whatever people want - so any requests?”
She turns to Zaki “You are the only soldier on board without a longarm. If you end up defending your casualties I’ll be one of them so I’d rather you had something with a bit more bite than your autopistol. What’s your preference?”
She then looks helplessly at the vast array of materials and bolts of fabric on display and with a self mocking smile says to Zaki “I’ll trade you a close protection weapon with some teeth for some outfits I can relax in while we’re in jump”.

The lighter and smaller, the better, though."Tiglath wrote:She turns to Zaki “You are the only soldier on board without a longarm. Chandra doesn't have any specific weapon skill, a shotgun would probably be his best bet, but he'll use any weapon he's handed considering his 7 Dexterity.Tiglath wrote:Sigrun announces “While you are all getting fitted out I’m going to make sure we can defend our ship - and ourselves if we do another job like the last. Re: (009) Alcabra Adventure
Sigrun smiles her thanks to Zaki and then replies “Low weight, low recoil and some teeth? The Gauss SMG does all that and is short enough not to get in your way while you work. Even with a couple of spare mags it is about half the combat weight of a standard weapon. I’ll see what I can do”.
She turns to Chandra and grins “Well, it was going to be a surprise present but I’ll try to get you a combat shotgun – an automatic. You have the strength and stamina to carry it and this beast puts down more fire than you’ll believe”.
When all are settled in the shop Sigrun will set off to run her gun purchasing errands.
Edit: added last line.

Sigrun nods pensively “If you are working with Zaki you don’t want too much weight and nothing that eats through ammo because you’ll be carrying med supplies – or me! So I won’t get you the full auto version like Chandra – unless you really want it?”
She continues her train of thought “I’ll get you a semi automatic with a folding stock to keep it compact. You are trained with handguns so I could also buy a sporting shotgun and show you how to cut it down to make a boarding pistol”.
Sigrun grins unrepentantly while quickly adding “Anti boarding pistol – obviously!”

Assuming Zaki agrees, she will pick out some civilian clothing for Sigrun. Carlos and Zaki also buy some more clothing. It is expensive, but high quality, let's say 1,000 credits each for several changes of shirts, pants, sarongs, etc.
