OOC Discussion (Session 3)
Re: OOC Discussion (Session 3)
It's all good, enjoy the holiday! Either Thag or Aiofe needs to lead the charge and there's no harm in doing it when ready.

Yeah. We'll just explain it away, because everyone knows that when things get exciting, time compresses, making a few secinds seem like months.

So if I need to re-turn them I totally can. I'm ready for this combat whenever everyone else is ready.

Re: OOC Discussion (Session 3)
I would prefer to destroy them, not turn them again. Destroying them fits my Belief.
Is Aoife with us? One of you should roll Disposition since you're Fresh, I am not. I'll throw in a die for the dispo roll.
Could we use Berry's affect on them to isolate them? Maybe give them a negative. I know once/if he attacks the prayer is broken, but I'm hoping we can get a bonus for at least the first round.

Re: OOC Discussion (Session 3)
I PM'd jhrrsn on 10 January about Bill's question, which is the last time jhrrsn was on the US. Shroom hasn't been on since 9 January. I don't think we can count on Aoife or Berry to lead the charge, though it seems we could use them as helpers in a conflict if we wanted to go ahead with the attack.
In all, it seems enthusiasm for the adventure has waned, but I would like to see the game continue. Who else is interested in continuing? (Hopefully Ludanto!). If there are enough of us, should we avoid this conflict and just head back to town with the loot gathered?

Re: OOC Discussion (Session 3)
I'd like a chance to spend a Fate point, it's the only thing I need to get to 2nd level. But if the remaining party wants to go to tiwn, that's fine with me.
If we go to town then we can see if we can recruit some new people?

I'm still here. Things are busy, but this game isn't hard to fit in. Besides, it is fun.

Re: OOC Discussion (Session 3)
I'm here too, I check the forum occasionally at work so it wouldn't always show me as logged in. I am also still into the game, and I offer my shield in the conflict, I just thought someone with more health should lead for that disposition and berry seems less likely to head this charge, personality wise.

Just waiting for somebody to do something, like one does.

Re: OOC Discussion (Session 3)
Shroom has indicated that Berry is unlikely to make a move.
I'm saying that Rabon will follow the herd, but is otherwise unlikely to risk attacking the restless undead.
And jhhrsn doesn't seem likely to post for Aoife.
So if Thag wants to attack, Bill should post that action. Otherwise, let's leave off this course of action and do something else. (Is there anything else folks would rather do?)

(Once the Session switches, you can update your goals accordingly, but it is your beliefs, not Allric and Rabon, which are driving us further at this point. If you aren't invested in pushing further then we just cut now and go back to town with the loot and lore.)

Re: OOC Discussion (Session 3)
I'm down for going deeper and figuring out the kobolds. I can try and talk to them and earn a check that way. So I'm fine either way.

Re: OOC Discussion (Session 3)
I think that that will be with a few turns, so it's best to camp first. We have one more turn before the grind though, so we were going to spend that on this conflict. Or retrieving Rabon's lockpicks.

Re: OOC Discussion (Session 3)
Do we have enough supplies to do another session after we camp?
Re: OOC Discussion (Session 3)
From last break:
The one hurdle is that, with no oil and magic ineffective, we have no way to re-enter the darkness and place the gems in the altar.
The main decisions are:
* Is anyone going to swing at these skeletons?
* Do Thag, Berry, or Aiofe's beliefs drive us down to the kobolds?
We still have 3 preserved rations (in Aiofe's pack) and all of our full wine/water skins to alleviate conditions if they come up before we return to town.
I don't see a problem logistically with camping, resetting the session, and carefully exploring the kobolds to get the gems in hopes of permanently ridding the evil.Disc (now sack) has two flasks of oil. (Used in darkness room)
Allric has two candles.
Berenwald has four torches.
Aiofe has three torches.

Re: OOC Discussion (Session 3)
Both lantern were blown out before we used them, so we should have light enough for for characters still. At least for 2 turns.
Bill, not to sound impatient, but it has about 5 weeks since you first suggested we attack the skeletons. We all agreed to help, but no other PC feels strongly enough about them to start a conflict. Please post an action. Or post a decision to not attack. Either is fine, just as long as the story moves forward. The metagaming motivation here is to use up a turn before camping again.

Agree, either is fine, but appreciate moving forward.Rusty Tincanne wrote:The metagaming motivation here is to use up a turn before camping again.
(Before dice start rolling) Metagame: the conflict also allows more chances for people to earn Checks on their rolls in this turn before camp. If we aren't going to fight, we can just use the turn to reclaim Rabon's lockpicks. (Ludanto, how many checks do we have currently? I don't remember anymore.)
Re: OOC Discussion (Session 3)
Checks are a per-PC thing, unfortunately, so I haven't been keeping track. Optimally, they'd be on your character sheets.

Re: OOC Discussion (Session 3)
Oh. Gotcha. It was helpful when you kept it on the Log last session.
We only have two tests this phase.
Allric: no checks.
viewtopic.php?f=519&t=6910&start=160#p335175
Aiofe: no checks. viewtopic.php?f=519&t=6910&start=180#p335485
We can't camp yet. Someone needs to earn a check in this encounter.

I will gladly use my traits against myself, like defender. It's not a problem.
