Re: Chapter 2 Part 1: New Adventures
Mind you nobody knows how far up in the sky it was and the size i listed was for the shadow you saw on the ground so size vs distance could mean it is larger up close

Hantae Agree, ready we must be.
Re: Chapter 2 Part 1: New Adventures
Rukiel nods, satisfied with the animals listed, though he cannot help but ask, "but a rock? Surely you jest. Last I checked, they stayed on the ground and the only trouble they caused was toe stubs. We aren't talking about magical rocks, are we? Bet it could fetch a fortune if we caught one. Them mages back home would go wild with their studying and what not!"

Rician Says to Rukiel, "No not a stone rock silly but the big bird one spelled R-O-C. Though I have heard stories of mages crafting magical items from rocks that have fallen from the sky."

Rukiel the Fickle
"Hah, of course! I knew that along, a big bird.... I was merely testing you, yes. You passed!"
Rukiel stirs uneasily and looks over at where the others are hacking and whacking at the plant overgrowth "We almost there yet?"
He looks up at the sky again and sighs. Pulling his club out, Rukiel joins in on the branch smacking and thwacking, helping clear a path for his cart and horse. "Beats doing nothing I suppose," he grunts in between swings.

Souting Ahead
Scouting ahead the forest slowly thins out and is more off to the north and south of the road that heads eastward. Eventually the old road leads into a field in middle of the forest. The road continues through the tall grassy field heading east and arcing back to the north. A group of deer is grazing in the field along with other wildlife in random groups.

Re: Chapter 2 Part 1: New Adventures
Hantae will try to sneak close enough to get a shot at the smallest deer with her bow.
Re: Chapter 2 Part 1: New Adventures
Krakus slows the group as they approach the clearing. Stay back away from the edge of the clearing. Let Hantae come back to us.

Bandir signals the others to hold up until Krakus gives the Ok. Bandir thinks, "I guess Hantae is hungry or preparing an offering perhaps."

Re: Chapter 2 Part 1: New Adventures
Hantae stealthily goes into the field pulls back on her bow sighted at the smallest deer and fires off an arrow hitting the target right in kill zone, the other deer flag with their tails and take off like a shot. Hantae's deer makes a weak attempt to bound off but collapses wounded badly.

Hantae will rush up and finish the deer off quickly. field dress it and start back to the others dragging dinner behind her. "Looks like some fresh meat, we can dry some tonight over the embers and we should have meat for a few days anyways."

Re: Chapter 2 Part 1: New Adventures
Hantae the Hunter makes quick work of the wounded deer, and manages to scatter the deer that were in the field the forest buffalo appear to not have noticed or care not about the flight of the deer. Nothing stirs near the guts of the deer right now but eventually scavengers will come the crows start to caw and fly near the gut heap. The wild buffalo lazily meander off into the woods. Everything else appears to be normal for the forest animal life. Slightly larger birds circle over head likely vultures waiting for their turn at the remains from the deer left behind allowing for the crows to feed briefly.
The men of the group feel a bit emasculated that a woman put them to shame with her hunting prowess though Rukiel could care less for the sight was quite something to see. Question now is keep dragging the deer, cook it or toss it on the wagon/cart?

Hantae will toss it in the wagon. "I can finish it up once we stop to make camp."
Re: Chapter 2 Part 1: New Adventures
Keathan is pleased the see the proper harvest of natures bounty. An expedient kill and dressing in order to feed the hungry.
"Let's continue until dark at least."

Rukiel the Fickle
"Quite entertaining, yes." Rukiel smiles and gives Hantae an eyeful, probably for a bit longer than he should. With a cough, he breaks his gaze and lends a hand.
"Would be a waste to leave the meat here, I agree. Let's bring it along." Rukiel helps fasten the new cargo so that it does not fall off the mall wagon.
