Hey everyone! I am here to play / run OSR games and such. It seems like a good place for it.
I am particularly keen on, what to call it, the new wave of OSR games: Into the Odd, Maze Rats, the Black Hack (and the million hacks it has spawned). These days things like Mageblade (Black Hack Hack) and Arnold K's GLOG seem particularly interesting. Not that there's anything wrong with some Labyrinth Lord.
I think I cut my teeth playing an expanded / later modification of AD&D 2E, one with sub-stats of the main six stats. Read a bunch of Dragon magazine as a kid, only started playing/running games in the last few years. Started with Numenera, probably got into OSR things because of Goblinpunch and the Hill Cantons blogs.
Just curious, are there games with open enrollment here? Looks like this is one, from another introductory post.
Cheers!
Hello all!

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

Re: Hello all!
Welcome!
On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.
