Re: Thinking about starting up a game - UK5 Eye of the Serpe

#21 Post by ragnboneshopper »

Still need players? How many posts per week are you looking at, and when are you starting? (doing some traveling next week until friday and won't have reliable internet during that time)

Love that character sheet. Not totally familiar with some of the sources you're pulling together, but that's awesome. Gotta find out how the strong drink die works! Would like to play a gnome bard or illusionist, but if you need humans, am willing to play whatever fits into the mix...

(new here, btw, and never pbp before, but I'm a quick learn)

Sorry, we have 6 players now so recruiting is closed.

You will be at the top of the line for replacement if any character vanishes into a smoke-filled room. :)

ANNOUNCEMENT

Once again UK5 Eye of the Serpent is re-opening for recruitment due to a player going MIA.

The adventure has been progressing for some time with no less than 7 Action Threads so far, for the prospective player that does not feel like reading the whole shebang here is a condensed version of what has happened so far:

The Intro

Since then the original group of four adventurers, an Oeridian warrior, a Suel ranger/priest, a Nyrondese fighter/thief and a half-elven druid, begun making their way down the mountain, crossing two valleys so far and meeting several hostile creatures.

During travel they picked up 3 new companions: a dwarven priest of Boccob God of Magic who was teleported into the valley right in front of their eyes from some dugeon he was exploring, a confused elven magician that was wandering about with no clear idea of how he got there and a polite lizardman living in an abandoned keep build by dwarves in a small island on a lake.

So far the group has no clear idea of where they are in Oerth or where they will find themselves if they manage to complete their journey out of the mountain. It is clear dwarves live, or have lived, here due to the structures they left behind and the lizardman that joined the party has seen humans, usually alone, traveling up and down the mountain throughout the years. Who they are or where they come from he knows not.

The PC in question waiting for a brave player to take his reigns is Ozborn Greynight, Chaotic Good Human Fighter/Thief. Hre is his character sheet:

As always, first reply gets the dibs on the character. Post here or PM the GM if you are interested in joining the campaign.

Great! You can go here: viewtopic.php?f=45&t=1174&p=30180#p30180 and start posting Ozborn's actions as soon as you wish.

I will get in touch with Admin to see about transferring Ozborn US Dice Roller character sheet to your account. Your username there is the same as here in the forums right?

Recruitment is now closed again.

Sweet.

Yes - my username is the same on the dice roller.

I'm going to skim more of the action posts so far to get a bit better idea of what's up, then I'll post today or tomorrow.

And...we have a new opening. One of our players had gone AWOL and we didn't even notice it until a combat scene came.

Poor Malone Marcus is wandering around aimlessly amidst a battle with large crows and desperately needs a soul...er, I mean a Player to take control over here.

Here's his picture: viewtopic.php?f=45&t=756#p17471

And his Resume: viewtopic.php?f=45&t=643#p14010

If there are any volunteers to take up this brave halberd-wielding warrior? If so, make your intent plain here.

As always, first come, first served.

In general, Chris, these are all Play By Post games. "Time", as it relates to specific hours of the day, is a bit superfluous.

As you are new to the US Forums, you might benefit from this thread: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=858

Cheers,

Al
