Hey, the Cubs have won more playoff games recently than the Nats have. The Nats should be getting the beloved underdog status.

I like hockey, too! Go Bills!
Re: OOC II
Go, sportsball team!
Also, Dave should be home earlier than expected. The game was postponed until tomorrow.

I own this shirt:

Re: OOC II
You would have thought, but they didn't announce it until late, and we were all stuck waiting inn the pouring rain for a long time to get on the shuttle buses to take us back to the remote parking lot. Then, fighting Cub traffic plus normal rush hour -- I didn't get home until 9:00pm.Zhym wrote:Also, Dave should be home earlier than expected. The game was postponed until tomorrow.
Just finished watching 'This is Us' with the wife, and am heading to bed so I can do it all over again tomorrow.
I'll try to update early tomorrow.

Since my team isnt playing for the next few months...
Go Indians.
and if that doesnt work...
Go Astros.
And if that, too, fails,
Go Nats, Cubs or Dodgers.

Okay, we're in essentially round zero here.
Each map square is 5-feet, and normal 'Combat Movement' rules will apply for those looking to engage. Or, the situation can be completely avoided. Whatever you guys decide to do.

Can those at the intersection with infravision see into the room, or does the light interfere?
Re: OOC II
Against all my normal instincts, we're going to play as if anything in the lit area is visible to anyone.Zhym wrote:Can those at the intersection with infravision see into the room, or does the light interfere?
The only limitation would be positioning. If a character (e.g. Sacro) is positioned in such a way where they cannot see down the passage leading to the door, they won't be able to see what's in the chamber until they adjust their positioning and vantage point.
Even there, though, everyone is relatively close, and could get into the necessary position easily enough -- that player would just need to explicitly state that their character is moving (and to where) so I can adjust on the map.

I am guessing AdaRue wouldn't actually know what is happening in the room, so she isn't actually acting. But if she knew, she would definitely think those goblins deserve a switch from their mothers.

I suspect your update today will tide us over until late Sunday or Monday sometime.

Re: OOC II
That game last night was pretty crazy. I do feel for National fans, as a franchise that has never won a playoff series, but my sympathies are not so strong that I'd wish for them to win against the Cubs. Probably any other team, though.Zhym wrote:And, it seems, they're cursed.Zhym wrote:Hey, the Cubs have won more playoff games recently than the Nats have. Windows of success are so fleeting, and I've been a tortured Cubs fan for my entire life, so I will greedily root for them to win all the games while their window of opportunity remains open.

As long as they have Theo, they will have a window...

Re: OOC II
He (plus Hoyer and McCloud) have definitely set this team up for prolonged success. There's definitely a window, which still most likely has 3-4 more years, so I am most certainly going to enjoy this run... and hope the wheels don't just completely fall off once that primary window has started to close.onlyme wrote:As long as they have Theo, they will have a window...

Re: OOC II
I gave up around the 6th inning because it was getting late and because, as my wife says, I couldn't stand the sight of human suffering.

Thanks for linking my roll to the game, Dave. I thought I had done that.
