Out of town for a couple days. Posting may be touch and go. Feel free to NPC as needed. Unless he's dead. Dead works too.

Crow Broad Sword, To Hit: [1d20] = 20, Damage: S/M[2d4] = 3, L[1d6+1] = 6+1 = 7
finally a worthy roll!

Re: OOC Randomness
btw I beleive the black tar like potion is something I essentially made up I didn't see it in the list of magical item postions essentially it turns whomever consumes it or has it put on them into a Wraith.

Re: OOC Randomness
I'm just going to roll with it. Btw, in your game GreywolfVT, does healing magic have any adverse effect on the undead? Or you sticking by the core book on this one?

Re: OOC Randomness
it does if you reverse the spell as the book says cure can be reversed and used as a inflict damage rather than healing. Basically if the PHB says it harms undead I go with it.
Also it's a boss battle had to make it more exciting didn't I? you shoulda thrown the acid lol not the wraith form potion

Re: OOC Randomness
In my defense, it was not labeled wraith form potion
Unless poison in your game is acid, I don't think I had any acid on hand... would of used that for sure.A few various poison viles, a couple are determined to be some odd concoction you've never seen before, there are two healing potions (regular not extra healing), One vile as best you can tell is an oil of Acid Resistance, One is determined to be a potion of Invisibility. The 2 viles you cannot determine contain a black almost tarish looking liquid.

Re: OOC Randomness
no but there was a protection from acid I thought there that wouldn't have turned him into a wraith you know def don't throw those healing potions at him that wont do anything but perhaps a healing spell yes. besides if the cleric or paladin turn undead like they did with ghouls and zombies the wraith wont stand a chance.

Re: OOC Randomness
in question about using healing to deal damage to the wraith here is some information the cleric and paladin will know A vial of holy water causes 2-8 points of damage (as acid) upon striking the body of a wraith. Throwing a healing potion at it will not do the same thing, if you cast cure spell on it no effect unless reversed as the normal spell reversal would do.

I love whomever made this crit hit & fumble chart I use. BTW not all three of those happen just essentially your wild attack swing cut part of the studded leather you are wearing and made it less effective.Bluehorse wrote:In true DM fashion, you are enjoying this a little too much arent you?GreyWolfVT wrote:For Arastor Fumble Roll [1d100] = 77 = Embarrassing armor piece knocked off, strap cut, belt cut, clothes torn lose 2 AC until fixed.

Re: OOC Randomness
With the necromancer stunned, would Crow get a chance at a backstab or only a normal attack?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: OOC Randomness
Backstab would be a bit much seeing as the opponent is already stunned having been defeated in wraith form and returning to normal. I mean really no need for it but you can if you want no need for a stealth and hide in shadows roll for it just roll the backstab attack.
